I topped as per Ben when it was real small, probably five inches tall. Then I vegged about three weeks. I think it showed gender about one week into the 12 hour switch. While it was only roughly 30", like I said it was a heavy producer. I'm used to White Widow, Skunk #1 and highs like that. This has a different type of high. Not different bad, just different than I am used to. Out of the five strains I grew recently, I liked Barney's Farm LSD the best. Very strong and happy high. Everything is funny. The Kandy Kush had a strong visual element. My HDTV looked hyper real when I was high on the Kandy. I also grew some Nirvana Blackjack, which was actually kind of shitty. Very airy bud. But once I harvested, because it was kind of weak, I strained it through a 100 mess screen to collect the white powder. My god that was a nice strong high. Got to love the sativa edge.

Instead of topping, I suggest the FIM method when it gets a little taller. I did this with one of my Barney's Farm LSD's and I got five almost equal colas. With Ben's topping method, I usually get two dominant colas and two lesser ones. Sometimes with this topping method, the secondary colas fall far behind. FIM might be my new goto method.

Ahh now I see why it only got up to 30" I don't blame you for topping early, I know that KK takes a bit longer. Over 2oz is still damn good though.
I see a lot of LSD grows, I was going to give it a try myself but I want to grow something a little less common you know?

The talk about hermies scares me a bit, but I think it should be fine.

Update, mine must have been a raging hermi, because my Kandy Kush buds are full of seeds. Interestingly, the smoke is still pretty good. What is surprising is plants right next to this in the grow room did not get very many if any seeds. The hermi characteristics must have been buried in the bud structure of the Kandy Kush.

Cant say too much about grow or yield.. but the end product is perfect, always choose it when I'm in A'dam

I'm going to flower mine off. With the rate if growth, it'll be next year till they're big enough to become mothers.

Hey new to the site and i just got a stealth grow box i have 2 feminized KK seeds ready to plant, additionally i have white widow feminized seed as well. Im New to growing and had only done it once and for the most part a buddy of mine had help a lot i just kinda sat back. Any tips or comments about the process or yield of these two strains would be appreciated.

Kandy Kush grows like an invasive species. Like a vine almost. Takes over area of other plants, plopping her fat buds wherever she likes. If you finish her properly the buds are enormous with a distinct diesel component to the smell. She will really stretch. Stems are weak so she will need help holding her weight.

I have several going in my next run.
