I bought and smoked Cannatonic in Amsterdam during the Cannabis Cup a few months ago. This was at Resin Coffeeshop, which I highly recommend if you ever visit Amsterdam. They had good weed and a really cool interior. I have to say, that even with my high expectations, I thought the weed was very good. The flavor and smell were both very pleasant and quite unique. I can´t really remember exactly what it was like though. The high was strong and well balanced. I felt very alert, but at the same time could´t seem to move. Very fun high! The nugs were dense and sticky; looked like it was grown, dried and cure properly.
I also bought some Cannatonic seeds at the CC expo. I am less than satisfied with those. I bought 3 seeds for 30 euro. Germinated 2 of them. One seedling was very weak from the start. I kept it for over a month, and it still didn´t develop a root system. After like 6 weeks of growth, it still looked like it just sprouted, and getting worse, so I gave up on it and threw it out. The other seed grew a little better, but still has not developed a proper root system. The tips of the leaves, even the ones at the terminal shoot, are dry at the tips. Some are worse than others. Besides that, the plant just doesn´t look healthy...probably from the lack of roots. Im not really sure why this is happening, since all my other plants are doing fine in the same conditions. And its not like the conditions are bad or anything...
I still have that last seed. I am planning on germinating it soon to see if it´s any better. I really liked the weed when I was in Amsterdam, so it kinda sucks that my plants aren´t growing like they should. Maybe I´ll have better luck with the last one...
Anyway, I would definitely recommend Cannatonic, if you think you can grow it. The weed is worth it, imo...
