Newbie responsible smoker here.

I would greatly appreciate help from anyone due to the fact that I am starting up a first time indoor grow. I have grown a couple of plants outside the past four seasons, however I have made the decision to permantly bring ops indoors.
I have been paying close attention to these boards for the past 9 months and feel very confident that the indoor grow will be successful. Below is a list of some of the details and process I have followed thus far; again, if anyone cares take a couple of moments to add something, please do! Obviously it is for a great cause:leaf:

1) Bought 5 fem Alaskian Ice seed with 5 G13 Power Skunk reg. All 10 seeds are currently germinating.

2) Grow room is a 36 inch by 44 inch by 7 feet tall closet with door. Entire room has mylar.

3) Going to start seedlings in 6" pots once germed. Soil consists of the following
A) 50 % miracle gro seed starter soil
B) 30% bio bizz coco
C) 20 % perlite.
D) not going to fertilize for first 2-3 weeks due to nute content in MG. After that I will use pure blend grow while following their suggested feeding schedule.
E) Using 1 4 bulb 4 foot flourescent grow lite for veg and going to a 400 w HPS for bloom.
F) Going to follow nute companies feeding schedule however going to use 50/50 pure blend grow and bloom for 1st 2 weeks of 12/12 lighting.
G) got a PH test kit that I check nutes in water solution prior to feeding and then check run off from bottom of planter. Going to put planters on bricks as so not to foul up roots.
4) Going to transplant into 3 gallon pots but unsure when to do this (need help here:confused:) When I go to the 3 gallon pots I plan on using 80% bio bizz coco and 20 % perlite for soil.

5) Familiar with cloning process and feel comfortable there.

Questions:

1) how do I determin when to put plants into 12/12 besides going by seed manufacturers established veg/flower periods?

2) what is a good PH to maintain for mary jane in general and also taking into consideration the aforementioned strains I have germing?

3) Plants will get plenty of free flowing air; i plan on using a box fan for breeze but i dont know if it is necessary to utilize CO2 or soda water spray?

4) Nutes, should I plan on staying on the low side of application spec as long as PH is good? Or it is imperative to give as much nutes as possible? Is it necessary to apply nute feeding by spraying the leaves with nutes/water/spray bottle?

5) How will I know when i have 2 weeks left until harvest. I will have two strains growing (both sativa dominant) so i will need to look for definitave plant characteristics (trichomes etc...) that indicate the plant is ready to flush.

I think this is all I got for now. If anyone has any suggestion or input; your time will be greatly appreciated!

:peace:

You can put into flower once you have yer 3rd node. I would suggest waiting til the 5th node. That is about 10" fer me generally.

2) what is a good PH to maintain for mary jane in general and also taking into consideration the aforementioned strains I have germing?
Water Ph about 6.5, soil, I'm not sure
3) Plants will get plenty of free flowing air; i plan on using a box fan for breeze but i dont know if it is necessary to utilize CO2 or soda water spray?
Co2 is ALWAYS a good idea!
4) Nutes, should I plan on staying on the low side of application spec as long as PH is good? Or it is imperative to give as much nutes as possible? Is it necessary to apply nute feeding by spraying the leaves with nutes/water/spray bottle?
You need to make sure yer nute levels are sufficient. It may be difficult, starting off w/MG. Spraying is NOT necessary.
5) How will I know when i have 2 weeks left until harvest. I will have two strains growing (both sativa dominant) so i will need to look for definitave plant characteristics (trichomes etc...) that indicate the plant is ready to flush.

Responsible smoker eh?

I've always used "responsible cannabis enthusiast" to describe my affinity for the ganj.

Welcome, unfortunately you will find that most of the kids on this board fit more into the "huffed too much duster" category than either of those mentioned above.

About your last question; When you think it's ready to pull, wait two more weeks.
