not surprising...
Dems love to give their non-working, minority or white guilt liberal/intellectual voting base government entitlements (yeah those racist are out to get you) ...all the while their strings are pulled by uber rich intellectual/entertainment/educational/banker types

and Republicans love to scare the self righteous religious hillbilly bigots into voting for them (the dangerous criminal minorities are taking your birth right) ...all the while they really work for the polluting industrial/military complex types

sometimes conspiracies ain't conspiracies...its alway just money

...and nothing ever changes
dems love to raise taxes so they can give away money/entitlement to get their base....
Reps love to cater to the underlying prejudices and morals of their base so they can allow the rich to pollute & rip off the working man

both sides lie, steal and rip us off

The only people who are ripping me off is the Obama administration and Congress. They take from me, pass laws that don't work, under pretenses of duress - jail time or fines. It's totalitarism. I have no choice but abide or be thrown in jail. Witness the heavy handed actions of Obama's IRS against conservative groups, the NSA intrusion into our private lives and leaders of European nations. He should be impeached based on many grounds of constitutional and Bill of Rights infringements.

The rich don't take from any body. Why? Because you have a choice. Nobody's forcing you to buy that Blackberry or iPad, wear your Nike tennis shoes, watch your big screen TV. And if you're a Walmart employee and don't like it, quit.

BTW, I like banks because of the conveniences and ability to get credit if needed and I like Monsanto's products.

Oh trust me, the rich a ripping you off...

money begets money and the rich have the momentum & power to adjust laws to suit themselves...and usually politicians vote in lockstep to both the people that pay for their campaigns and the right or left winger sheep masses that believe the crap they are selling...

Welfare drug tests? To "get them off the rolls"? I got news for ya, my state tried something similar. Not to "get them off the rolls" but to make sure they were actually taking the drugs that were prescribed to them...instead of selling them for extra income. Well, the result is that it costs a potful of money to basically prove nothing and the program was discontinued.

That's not similar at all.

This is so if you're on welfare and have money for drugs, you don't really NEED welfare because you've made a lifestyle CHOICE.

I don't disagree with Welfare as long as it's bare minimum for base survival and to the people who NEED it.

In my area, I guesstimate that better than 80% of all SSI disability and welfare recipients have a prescription for some opiate variant. Therefore, it is a total waste of time and money to drug test such people. Such funds would be far better spent in rooting out disability fraudsters: there is no shortage of fraud there.

Welfare in the sense that I mean is unemployment payments.

Unemployment related welfare should provide survival, not a lifestyle like so many think.

It should cover basic food and water and basic living conditions, that's all.

And you're aware drug tests in fact test for moar than just opitiates?

Why should the taxpayer cover recreational drug use by people who are supposed to be barely survivng ?

Once you establish that one party can use force to take from another you are already on the slippery slope. A little bit pregnant is oxymoronic.

The compassion you show for those that NEED is good. The method you would employ to provide this good, should be aborted.

Fuck off Rob, stick your utopian bullshit straight up your candy ass.

If there are genuinely poor people who need temporary assistance, you're a dick for giving them the finger.

And bet if your parents kicked you out of their house (you are an adult now, you really should go of your own volition) the first place you'd visit would be the welfare offices, you fucking hypocrit.

Drug testing for welfare recipients - It's just a statement reflecting how fed up we taxpayers are with the gimme hand outs system. I've seen first hand not only the graft but the kingdoms built around welfare regarding administration....their labor, equipment, building needs and other support requirements.

Decades ago I worked for years in a fed jobs program called CETA (Comprehensive Employment and Training Act). It was a federally funded (us taxpayers) program for adults and high school students. We took apps but never checked for the accuracy regarding the "poverty guideline" requirements. We knew many were lieing, didn't meet the requirements legitimately but were powerless to do anything about it. Federal (labor) funds that was not spent come the first part of the 4th quarter was not good. We were instructed to spend it all or the Dept. of Labor would reduce next year's budget allocation....so we did. That's just the tip of the iceberg of gov. waste and fraud. The state Human Resources departments (welfare) are no better. State commissioner wants to come off as a good guy so what does he do? Gives all state employees an paid extra holiday off. Friend who's in the welfare system as a computer trainer bragged about it. I was furious that they have this much freedom to piss off MY money.

And when some lieing son-bitch like Obama says he's decreasing such and such to save the taxpayers money, don't believe it. We used to play that game, "we're spending 6% less this year, hooray!" Right, after you got an 8% increase from the get-go.

It's all a game......played on the backs of hard working Americans.

That's the same way the Army worked, and I imagine it's the same in every federal organization.

Tax dollars are basically flushed down the toilet at the end of each fiscal year, but then again you didn't need your money anyway, right?

That's right. If the public only knew....

The current administration is one of he most arrogant and rogue I can ever remember. They're all like a bunch of slippery eels that are above the law and will not take responsibility for their actions. Why Congress will not hold people like Holder, Clinton and Obama accountable is bewildering.
