Reuse soil after damping off?

In a previous thread it was suggested that one of my plants had succumbed to damping off. Since this is a fungal infection, would it be wise to reuse the soil after it was dried out? Is there something I could do to sanitize it? Just wondering because I live in a fairly remote place and getting new bags of soil involves a multiple hour trip. Thanks guys and gals.

If your seedlings are strong I would re use it. That fungal strain is everywhere and in all soil. Weak seedling too much cold or wet or dark and you can have it in any soil.

I've only had a couple of seedlings succumb to damping off, but I just dropped new seeds in and had no trouble after it dried a bit. As long as you don't seriously overwater you should be ok. You can bake soil in the oven if you want. There's some threads about it here on RIU as to time & temp, etc.

Cool. I think I will run some boiling water through it just to make sure but that's cool I shouldn't need chems or new soil.
