This is similar to the "how strong can tinctures get" thread but I hope it's different enough to warrant a new thread.
I made a tincture last year with weed that, for various reasons, just wasn't very strong. I made the first round with shake: packed a mason jar, added 190 proof Everclear, waited a few months. That didn't work, of course. Then I strained it, decarbed the buds from the same plant, added them and topped off with more Everclear, and waited. Sampled it again last night and: nada.
So I want to use the worthless tincture as a base for more tincture. Will this work, or is there a possibility the alcohol has already reached its saturation point, even though it seems there's little or no THC in it? I'd probably be adding at least a quarter of its volume in fresh Everclear, and using properly decarbed, potent flower this time.
