Revegging after Harvest?

Is it possible to take clones from a re-vegged plant. In other words can you take a plant that you harvested, re-veg it, and make it a mother plant?

HPIM2493.jpgYes......BUT your plant will look deformed for a long time. Its a long slow process bringing them back into veg after harvest , and not all strains will take to it. This one I revegged last fall inside. The plant was originaly grown outside. It took almost 6 weeks before it grew decent leaves. Mangaged to get another half ounce from it after 4 months. Unless you really want the identical genes, eg a good pheno that you took years to find...your much better off starting new seeds.

this guy doesnt know shit, if you reveg a plant it will take like 5-14 days to reveg if you make sure to leave enough lower budsites, because it already has a root system developed it will usually produce more than the first time. I have revegged and taken clones and then put that mom into flower and it worked great. I have heard of people revegging like 5times and having great results.

true true
my outdoor plants last year were all revegged plants (og kush) and they got over 11 ft tall. got like around 7 pounds of the best og kush i've smoked in a long time.

i wouldny make it a mother though i prefer using seeds as mother plants
but it is possible.

so instead of revegging a whole plant could i harvest my plant and just use 1 of its shoots a lower shoot with a small bud and could i clone and reveg this shoot and grow a whole new nice big plant would this work?

Um, you and gypsy are talking about two different things. Probably should read other peoples' comments before hating on them.

Yes you can reveg an already harvested plant. In fact, many people do it. If you do indeed try to reveg an already harvested plant, be sure to leave foliage on the plant that you harvest. If you don't leave any foliage you have about a 1% chance of your plant revegging after harvest... I like those odds!

Making a revegged plant a mother plant is probably the best idea, but it will take time depending on how much foliage you leave on the plant. Kind of makes sense when you think about it.

odd...
for me it takes em at least 10-14 days to flip back to the veg light schedule alone, much less even appear to attempt starting growing new shoots...but i use CFL's too

the hardest bit is keeping enough 'suckers'/leaves/popcorn buds around to transpire for the plant....they seem to drown very easily in the first 4 to 5 weeks of reveg if one is not careful
i don't bother with feedings until new shoots start to peek out...usually 3 weeks...then i start real light feedings....almost like when it was tiny new...

week 6 and 7 are perfect time to take clones...for me anyhow....mileage varies

EDIT:
I find my gals absolutely NEED/want 20 hours of light/4 hours of dark during their reveg...
they get all sickly otherwise...never quite figured out why yet though....

Im just saying, that it is possible, it is easy, and Ive not had any problems doing this, I mean the plant has gotten so foreign to us because its illegal. but I mean fuck, if you grow weed out doors and have a decent non frozen climate then the plants will NATURALLY reveg, people act like you have to grow from seed once and thats it, I have heard of plants living for like 14 years ... and he was saying that they wouldnt. maybe you should read comments before critisizing comments given because of bad comments given.

In my experience in re-vegging it took me only a week to see new growth (odd looking growth)

Will the odd looking growth eventually look normal again as newer growth appears?

Where does he say that. All he says is that when he did it, he got odd looking growth, and only yielded an ounce after four months, so he recommends just starting over. That happened to him, because he barely left any foliage on, and probably never trimmed the root ball (I'm assuming here). He never mentioned that the plant couldn't live, he's just saying it's not worth it... two different things.

Yeah, you're going to get odd looking growth for a bit, but after a few weeks everything should go back to normal, no big worries.

Go down to the bottom where they trim the rootball. That mother plant is 15 years old, but stays so small because the root ball is constantly trimmed. I'm not suggesting doing it as much as these guys do, but when you reveg an already harvested plant I (I being the key word here) would trim the root ball.
