Reverse Racism

As a white person who is 40 years old, I am well aware of the the fact that white people are now the minority. I'm not really a racist at all, I hate everybody with an uncanny equalness, but I do expext a certain amount of HUMAN respect.

Why am I expected to try and understand black people and mexicans who simply refuse to use uniformly accepted english? It's as if it is now my duty as an American to try and understand these stupid assholes who know damn well how to speak. I think their way of talking is racist to white people. If confronted, they would claim that that's how and where they were brought up. If I was brought up in the south and simply 'talked that way', referring to black people as spooks and darkies and women as honey and sugar, I'd be considered racist and sexist. Yet the cable guy can say 'Do your dogs be out during the day?' and 'What time should I roll through there?'. Those statements indicate stupidity and bring to mind almost gang like qualities. Should I feel threatened by some cable guy? I do when it sounds like I'm watching two homies from some scene in a Boys In Da Hood movie.

I hope they make some kind of app that translates these dipshits language into something the shrinking population of english speaking adults can understand. I also hope they make a translator like on Star Trek so those fucktards can understand me.

Guess I should start looking into moving to Canada.

The only thing I hate is when black comedians use racist remarks and comments and its considered ok,but if you use the same comedy routine but replace that with a white person and switch the racist remarks with the way white people would use it toward black people, then suddenly its not funny and its a huge issue.I understand slavery was wrong and that african americans deserved at the time things that would help them to make things equal and in a messed up way make up for slavery. But in todays society things are equal and black people have the same rights as white people, but what I dont get is why is it ok for a chanel like BET but if white people had a chanel called white entertainment television it would be all over cnn and msnbc and considered wrong. My family didnt own slaves so why is it that white people are still aheld acountable for something that happend 100 yrs ago, that white people today had nothing to do with.Iam sooooooo tired of SOME black people still using that exuse for why they cant get a job,or why their life sucks.Befor someone comes on here accusing me of being a racist, trust me I am not

I'm not sure how taking like you have no good sense and using racial slurs can be compared. One's racist and one's just stupidity. Not the same.

That being said, I know plenty if not more white people that talk like they have some sort of brain malfunction. I don't judge them and think they're "gang bangers or white trash" I just think they need a bit of education. Now if they're dropping racial slurs be them black or white, that's wrong.

Well im 27, and white. And I think the fact that you had to point out that "black people and mexicans" can't speak proper english is racist in itself. I know PLENTY of white people that speak that way. Its not racist, its not upbringing, its current culture. Thats how the current pop culture talks so it is replicated. I LOVE rap music. I don't speak that way, or even type that way. The way people act is about fitting into society and trying to be "cool." That's all Americans really care about.

Right English is not a real languge as it is taken from ie latin greek and other languages as for you being an American unless you are a native American witch are the only people that have the right to call themselfs American you don't even spell things or say things in proper English ie aluminium/colour/mum.

I and the people of this contry are forced to use English as our languge so until you can use English don't expect other people to.

I don't understand ebonics or spanish...I try with the spanish, but I don't care to learn or speak ebonics...I mean coming from somewhere where a different language is spoken is one thing..but living right down the screet from me but acting like you is from another country or area just seems ludicrous to me.

I mean is it that hard to ask a question? Use the word are? Can you not pronounce the st sound and that causes you to live on the screet and drink from scraws? DOn't even get me started on the made up words that change everytime a rap artist writes a new song...they only make up words so they rhyme...

As for being racist towards coloured people they should try looking at my culture we the Scots have been opressed for centurys long before they were made slaves.

Before we had our own government which i think is just a puppet if all of Scotland voted SNP our votes would still be wiped out by the voters in just london alone.

We were forced to join the EU in eightys we had the poll tax forced upon Scotland.

If the English need to cut the armed forces they disband the Scottish regemints first.

And it is not just the Scots but Irish aswell the English used the black and tans to try and wipe them out.

As you can tell the English are not onmy christmas card list.

Quite a few black people would rather not have a black history month. Myself being one of them. Another being Morgan Freeman. I'd rather not have BET either. I don't like that black people purposely segregate themselves, then complain about racism. By the way I talk, verbally and on the internet you would never guess I'm a black guy.

Oh it is and that's hwy it shouldn't be lumped into a month out of the year. Include it in the rest of American history like it should be. If anything "Black history month" is an insult to African Americans. "here we'll be nice and give you a month"

that's what it looks like now, but back then having a "Black History Month" was a big step forward. now it's kind of like an appendix. but if you tried to phase it out today, there would be major uproar. a lot of the black culture still holds ties to the memory of slavery through the civil rights movement of the 60's and i think they are entitled to feel this way for what they have been through. however, those strongly held feelings will die and need to die with the baby boomers. it is imperative that the black community move forward in order to concentrate on doing well for themselves as individuals and to not fixate on the past as an excuse to not be successful as virtually every opportunity is available to them today.
