Reverting Back to Veg After Determining Sex

So my seedlings are around two weeks old, 3-4" tall, and doing well. I think I'll wait another week and switch them to 12/12 to determine sex. After I know who stays and who goes I will revert the plants back to veg by switching back to 18/6.

Has anyone ever force flowered their plants to determine sex and then reverted back to veg? Should I change to a flowering nute when forcing? Any experience shared regarding this topic would be greatly appriciated!!!

What consequences are there to this sexing method?

I do realize that the proper way to do this is to force flower the cuttings, not the actual plants. I can't do this for several reasons I won't get into now.

Thanks,

JayDoe

you can do that but it will stretch the plants and you will have long skinny buds not thick fat ones...

yeah its called secondary flowering. its not bad. i have done it to mine that were not thriving in flower yet. they actually ended up giving me more per plant than the others and they were smaller. so i will tell you it takes a long time, but wont hurt your plant. i had mine in veg for 6 weeks. put them into flower for 2 and then put them back into veg for another 4 weeks. then flowered for 8 until they were finished. as you can see it takes forever, but sometimes you have to do that.

happy harvesting
