Awesome , thanks for he advice. I bookmarked a FIMing tutorial , it seems fairly easy on what i cut so ill give it a try later and post a few pics. It makes me cringe thinking about cutting the new leaf node :P

Cool on the fimming, you gotta try it sometime! I suck at it, 3 for 8 with the fimming, and prefer this method:

but I'm an old fart; your eyes and hands are prolly better than mine bongsmilie

When it comes to messing up the FIM can i do alot of damage ? you said your 3 for 8 on your fimming attempts did the 5 others die :P ? If th risk is that large i may just let the girls grow on my first grow. If i can mess up the FIM and they will still be fine then ill go for it hehe :)

ill throw in a couple pics i took today, roots and stuff

No, no damage, just not a perfect FIM. I usually don't take off enough and end up just cutting the top leaves off, or take a little too much and end up with three branches or something. I'll take some pictures of my latest efforts tonight.

Your plants are looking REAL nice, awesome looking healthy roots too!

1st picture shows a more or less successful FIM, 2nd picture shows one of my "failed" FIMs (only got 3 branches), and 3rd picture shows a topping for 6 main colas (I cut above the third node). The topping method is the easiest and most predictable for me.

But you gotta try FIMing, I really don't think you'll hurt your plants; worst case all you'll do is top it instead of FIM it. Extra points if you can do it right the first time while high bongsmilie :hump:

Nice , i still have not tried the FIM yet i got nervous lol. Im seeing some brown rusty looking spots on some leafs i think its from lack of MG ive read i should increase my PH to 6.1 ish around day 20-30 when using the lucas formula so im going to see if that corrects the problem. Ill take a picture of the spots in a bit. For now ive attached a pic of my updated stash , just went to a new Co-op yesterday !

When i wake up im going to do my third resivoir change. The gals are looking nice , i learned for my next clones i start up a good dosage for nutes now. A few das ago i was geting dark brown spots that looks like MG def so i read up on the Lucas formula and found some info about bringing the PH around day 20 or so while in veg to avoid a lack of MG. I did that and it stoped the spots, my current nute solution is a little low in ppm the one i mix up sunday will be stronger. I can tell the plants want more , but overall they seem like they are doing well.

Im going to flower anytime now, i can see the pistils and preflowers comming in. I just need to pick a good time to set my 12/12 cycle on. Im thinking light on at 7 am and off 7pm.

Here are a few pics, one of the pics show one of the girls who have some mutant leafs on the bottom.

I have some plants to start up a perpetual grow with a couple more aeropnic units soon :)

Hey hey , whats up ?

Well i just put the girls under 36 hours of darkness. That ended this morning at 7 AM. I set up my new digital timer , swicthed the bulb to my 400w HPS and i fired it up.

I was happy to see after the 36 hours of darkness they looked awesome wheni turned the lights back on.

Here are some pics of the gals , since i started flowering i may purchase a couple mother plants and throw them in my tent as well, if i get a good deal on some mature plants.

Ill post some new pics later today , I added w-8 blooming nutes to my nutrient solution. I mixed it all up on friday and then i had to go out for about 36 hours and i checked the PH this morning and it had a prety big swing. It went up to about 6.3 ish it was a yellow with a hue of blue. That scared the shit out of me so i added some ph down in R.0 and lowered it back to about 5.5

I hope that ph swing doesnt do somthing crazy

Damn, those girls are looking tasty (and happy)! Great job, first grow or not!

Are you still using the Lucas formula? Any yellowing on the lower leaves yet?

Im still using Lucas formula with the micro and bloom , i hav fora nova bloom but havent switched to it. Next set of girls i will , it scares me because its so thick. Lucas formula is proving very easy to maintain thus far.

I noticed the tips of some of the lower leafs turning yellow , some have died and i cleaned them out every couple days. It seems like its as tall as thier getting or so they havent seem to moved up much in last few days just starting to see more bud thickness. One thing for sure is i will not use this aeroponic unit again for a full grow maybe to maintain mothers or somthing i duno. But they are getting heavy and bending over and the net cup is comming up a couple CM out off the plastic cover for the resivoir. I taped it down a bit for extra support so it just doesnt come out. But the roots keep it secured i just dont want any light to get down.

I still have like 4 or 5 weeks hopefully it all holds up !

Ahhh! Beautiful set up!!! This is inspiration for me Rubber. I'm looking to do this exact same set up, just under a 250 not a 400 haha. Quite the piece of work for a first grow. I'm excited to see the yield! Keep it up brotha

Thanks , lights are about to come in on 15 mins. hopefully the ph has settled and my plants are not freaked out from yesterdays ph battle. must be the hygrozyme

Don't ride the pH rollercoaster, if it's close, keep it. You don't wanna accidently fry your plants trying to change the pH a few points. I'm not actually doing Aeroponics but I'll be doing DWC, But this set up looks very close to mine. 4-5 Weeks should bring in some ridiculous results on those buds bro.

What kind of nutes are you using currently?
