Sticky Rice= Sweet Rice. My wife makes Sticky Rice from time to time. We're lucky and have an Oriental Market right down the street. So much rice.

years ago i used to work in a local restaurant, and the entire kitchen staff was chinese, they all lived in this tiny ass apt above the store..

every night when we would sit down to eat, so would the chinese.. we were allowed to eat certain items off of the menu for free, but they had a big chow down every night of some chinese food that they spent hours cooking...

one of the main ingredients for every meal was a big ass bowl of white rice... they'd simply pile it onto their plates, and proceed to shovel it into their mouths by the fork full... it really was a sight to see as i've never seen people eat like that before...

and heaven forbid if it was a big chinese holiday or someones birthday, look out, they had a feast to end all feasts up in there..

Haha, its very common to have Chinese people all live and work at the same place- cheap labor. My wife was in such an arrangement when I first met her. Then I saved her. Dinner is a very social event for the Chinese, there's only one rule: Eat as much as you can and don't leave your plate empty or they're just going to think you were so hungry you ate every last morsel and desire more!

No, its just white rice they all do that because its easier to eat with chopsticks like that all clumped together.

Edit: It could be sticky rice too like UUNK said.
