RIP Marc Paquette of medpot.net

One of our patients/friends died last night..
Marc the owner of Medpot.net
he provided cannabis news for several decades
Marc was a member here and a tirelss crusader for cannabis
he had more than a few illnesses that eventully claimed him

we miss him already..a very intelligent man
with a great sense of humour
he was always happy to see us and called me and my wife "love birds"
i just had my cry..i seldom do..i am sad
it was a monthly sojourn we were happy to do

we will miss you my friend

Jct: Marc Paquette was my most prolific medpot warrior exemptee. I don't anyone filed as many court motions as he did. Saw him last summer, he didn't seem bad at all.

Best story: Marc needed to get a specialist to sign the new MMAR within 6 months and almost no S.56 exemptees could. So he filed a Federal Court for an extension of his exemption. Refused.

Something else came up and he filed a second motion. Refused.

Then we found out about the Ontario Medical Association advising their doctors hot to participate in the MMAR and with that new document, he filed a third motion for more time.

When we got to court, Crown Alain Prefontaine, now Senior Counsel at Justice, came in with a new "Prolongation of Exemption" form and though Marc wanted to complain to the court, the nice judge just told him he'd won, and dismissed the motion.

Imagine going in 3 times with the very same request and finally winning! That took grit. Rest in peace Marc, one of our greatest MedPot warriors.
