Ripeness of flowers/fruits/buds

Hi guys after some stoned thoughts I have bein thinking after watching tomatoes apples and strawberries I have thought in the same way the whole fruit body is first completed then ripens as a last phase at that point you want to pay most attention for cannabis as a green tomato is clearly not ready white pistols and lush green growth can be clear signs that your not quite ripe I wonder if anyone else had realized this and if it can help with a harvest

You are completely right, most people harvest too early because they are laser focused on the trichomes, rather than the bigger picture. There is a definite look of "ripeness" when cannabis is ready to harvest. The pistils change color AND retract, the seed bracts swell up considerably, and there is a slight change of color, sort of a rusty tinge to the buds. There are pictures of immature buds being picked here every day-they aren't dense enough, too many white pistils, and they look very "fresh", not always bright green but just fresh. Mature flower doesn't look "fresh" like that. Your comparison to fruit is right on.

That is how my mind was explain it it’s a shame I could only articulate it as a lay man beautifully put and once you realize the importance of even 2 weeks it’s eye opening why some people chop erly must be the kid at Christmas syndrome they want it all before the date
