did it ever occur to anyone that this site may be watched? anyone know anyone whos ever gotten busted offa this or any other place?

You always assume that this and other marijuana sites are being monitored. That is
why you NEVER give out any info about your exact location, name, etc.
Posting pictures is mildly risky as they can be used against you. Try and get
help without posting pics tho LOL. In the end, what most of the users of these sites are doing are very insignificant little personal grows, and it is just not worth law enforcement's time to go after every person growing a couple of plants in their closet.. that's the ONLY thing that makes this halfway safe. Never post or talk about huge commercial grows, as this could be worth their time in tracking you down via IP.

thanks!!! luckily for me i have no intent on any large grows, and i have no information listed to my knowledge. as for pics... ehh, im pretty much done posting them, and im about to delete my older posts that do have pictures

do u have any idea what kind of man power/funds it takes to track, monitor and physically prove beyond a REASONABLE DOUBT that you or said person is growin wacky tobaccy on ur premises and using it to mind f*ck the youth much like the meth dealer that probably lives up da blok and is gonna blow up the community anytime now. wait or was that jus my personal opinion??

This is one good thing about AMARACA.
They have to have proof.
It has to be worth their while.
I think that marijuana in a small amount is becoming more and more overlooked today.
I think as long as you do not go around telling everybody and do not flaunt what you are doing you shall be fine.
I do not think growing for money is a good Idea in these times though.
Bad karma associated with it.
One should just be self sufficient and silent.
They have to have proof.

Yeah i think everyone should grow their own and there wouldn't be anyone getting all pissed off cause they don't have the money to by a bag or have to go through the hassle of finding a good dealer.
How are the authorities able to get anyone's IP? Don't they have to have access to the server to get this type of information? If the owner of the server(s) and this site does not post the IP it seems like the authorities would have to ask them for the IPs. Can anyone of you tell me what is showing up as my IP address? Thanks.

I've wondered about that. Most likely you have a dynamically assigned IP from your ISP which means it changes. And for the cops to find out who had it at that point in time they would have to work through the ISP so it's not likely. And as far as email addresses go, who knows if they are able to hack and track. But I doubt it.
It's just not worth their time I would like to think. However, if they did catch you growing or had a search warrant they would confiscate your computer(s) and search for evidence there. I hope they like my porn.

I don't think American Cops can go to Canada with a warrant to get info about posters on this site.
AND, besides, the pics I posted were really taken in Amsterdam when I lived over there.
Yeaaaa,,,that's the ticket, when I was living in Amsterdam, I made some pics of my plants while I was there. Yeaa,,,,Besides, they were really tomato plants anyway, they wre not really pot plants. They just looked like pot plants. A new Indicus tomatoeus variety!

They can track you back through your IP. Let's just say I have some experience with this. I have been tracked down by IP address and had a Sheriff knocking on my door on Jan 2nd 2000. The incident he was investigating took place sometime in Feb. '99. He told me personally that it took THAT long to get through the whole process and it was very expensive.
They had to get a warrant to search the ISP as just like most ISP's they won't give information to law enforcement. The whole process was over something lame anyway and I was never even pursued. The person who reported the crime dropped the charges after we had a little chat. I vandalized his website and he didn't realize it was me and it was just flat out funny.
I would say that for the trouble they have to go through, they aren't going to try to do it for a couple of plants in a closet.
Think about it like this, when they do busts on internet perv's they don't track down the IP address and get a warrant and go through all of that. Much easier to setup the sting and have the person walk right through the door ready to plug a 13 year old boy.

DON'T tell anybody you're doing a grow and you won't get busted. the cops are only interested in big grows anyways. for terrorism and other big crime.
