RIU advice is so bad

I was looking for a daytime/get things done high firm it so I chopped at like 10% amber rest cloudy though. I don't know what your looking for from . I've heard it will go 110 days!!!!
If I even saw any amber right now I would be thrilled. I topped her several times, stretched her and then braided her. Laid her over under my HPS. She's all bud topside, fan leaves hanging (or were) by the hundreds underneath. She started flowering July 17th. I keep small records so had to look back. Everything else I planted in late May is dead, dried, sold or smoked. I'm not out of anything so don't want to ruin her so I'll wait. Also have singles of Kandy Kush, Blue Widow, White Rhino X Mazar, Big Devil, Vertigo, White Widow Auto (another story in DWC there - all autos are NOT little or really as quick as they claim) and a stray Chihuahua (Michoacan really).

And i have no respect for those people. Why would a user resort to using an alternative account unless because of the reputation they have under their normal account. So who are you normally on your forum, because as far as we are concerned, you're johnny nobody whining about shit when he's been here for a maximum of 17 days..
OR, they have pissed off so many people that a name change was necessary.

How is the Kandy Kush? I got some freebies from SOS I have wanted to try out. Was thinking about putting them outdoors in Spring.

I am the man you want to speak to. I dont say a lot but have loads of experience with all types of growing. I dont ask for help. I find out via others and my own experience.
And those in the know determine by telepathy you need info or assistance? I mean if you don't ask.

That was partly the reason too that I'd waited so that I saw some amber and thot right, that's it it's coming down. That's when I thot I will smoke this thru the day when stuff needs to be done. Lol. I've read you saying about braiding your plants before and laying them next to pumpkin vines. Git a puck of your braided plant you mind showing? I've never seen anyone do this before.

VERY slow starting. Weird leaf characteristics at first (odd shaped but not totally just different). It finally got going but it jst isn't as vigorous as the OG13 and WR X Mazar. Those 2 plants could do outside way easy. I'm in AK so might choose differently than others. The Blue Widow was even worse starting. All planted the same time. All but one were up and open in 3 days in rockwool or Root Shooters (soil in the shooters). 8 strains. Only the Blue Widow was a true weenie (and even she got going but her and KK are the runts). I have had nothing but excellent results with every Dinafem seed I've ever planted until this BW. Then I see a post in Spanish (yo habla Espanol) from Spain saying in every pack Dinafem has a runt. Didn't say if on purpose or not but just that it happens. I'll definitely buy more Dinafem seed but this BW has been disappointing so far.

Those are 4 X 8s stacked to hold her up. In 18 gallon tubs. That's a 5-gallon DWC under with a Sweet Seedss Big Devil (ha ha so far with the name) and the White Widow Auto on the right.

On the ground you use pieces of wood, cinder block - anything to keep them directly off the ground. I HAVE HAD THEM ROOT FROM THE STEM IF IT GETS BURIED AND IS MOIST! Not good as then you can't adjust it. Block them up or lay them on the pumpkin or squash vine. Just watch for bugs.

No one misunderstand me here... I am not bashing "RIU" or the mods/admins. I'm bashing much of the advice offered on here...

The typical advice posted from many folks on RIU has gotten so bad.

I've tried to help out when I can. I mention with my advice if it is from a) experience b) something i read c) popular opinion d) university study.
For some reason I enjoy helping out here on RIU, and at my volunteer position with a certain county ext office. It's fun to talk shop and help people out.

I am no god of gardening though, and I do not claim to be. There are some areas I am experienced in and am happy to help. I do not claim to know everything and I do not tell people that their "OPINION" is wrong. Notice that word... OPINION.

But seriously. The posters who are typing up nonsense as advice to people looking for help is ridiculous. I like RIU. But I'm also sort of looking for a new site. It's getting filled with bullshit. I'm not sure if every site is like that. But RIU is definitely flooded with it.

Has anyone ever noticed that (aside from UB and a few) the people who go in to threads and say "you are wrong", "i am right", "that is stupid", etc etc... are just spewing bullshit hearsay cannabis grower bullshit...?

Then to make it worse... the people who are not nonsense ranting trolls do not have the desire to troll back. So the loudest voice gets heard and that voice is the clueless asshole telling everyone that his/her diagnosis is the only correct one and the other folks posting are idiots...

I'm glad I learned botany the old fashioned way before I ever even heard of sites like RIU. If I had not, my head would be full of so much bullshit nonsense.

So please... cocky 3-4 grow noob fucks posting like they are the fucking King of Cannabis... stop. Advising others is not a good outlet for an ego boost. If you speak from EXPERIENCE you will not step out of your real knowledge. If you repeat everything the previous generation of RIU trolls ranted then this will just go and on. Advising is not a good source for boosting your ego.
Many people here just repeat what they've heard someone else say or post and have no practical experience themselves.. And advice from those that know what they are doing may work for their particular situation, but not for another's.

it blows me away, all the duplicate posts asking the same questions over and over again when the answers are right here. Honestly, I can google most any question I have and get good answers. But people are too lazy to take the time to do any research.

Don't even get me started on the lack of spelling, punctuation or grammar by many here. You'd think they were in elementary school.

Nutrients are a good example. I can mix 1/4 strength nutes and not notice it on one plant, get decent response from others while one ODs - so there is a huge difference in strains (as experienced well know). So some guy comes on asking specific strain questions - "What kind of nutrients did you use and what kind of results did you get?" 30 posts and nobody answers that specific question. Many answer just to see their name on the web. If I don't know I say so or stay out of it. If OPINIONS are welcome then that is a different matter.

Those are beautiful. I've been using tomato cages to battle the stretch. I like your setup there.

That's really cool hotrod! Never seen anything like it, 10 outa 10 for originality man. I'm planning an out door guerilla grow next spring, I'd say u just gave me the method I think is exactly what will get my plants thru the season without detection. tell me are sativa dom hybrids best fir this?

As a newbie, it can be hard to sift through the advice I get. I feel like I quickly identified some people who give great advice and I've +repped them all in appreciation. When I post a question I look for their replies first...and then I look to see what others say.

In general, when I've been very specific -- lots of detail, photos, etc -- I've gotten good advice. But it is up to me to do SOME non-RIU research. It helps a lot to know I have a sativa dom strain that will do well with eight weeks of veg so that when some idiot says I should flip it at three weeks I know to ignore it.

We get "huffy" because its human nature to do so when defending things we like or love. If someone is giving bad advice then by all means call them out on it and see if they're willing to defend themselves. If not, then we (we in general) know they don't know what they truly are talking about.
Yep, if your advice sucks, expect a beating on here, LOL. Stick around and you'll see who knows WTF they are doing. Post count *can* be a fairly good indicator - provided they have a journal or pix and documentation of past grows. Some people are really good here but some of the absolute best ones have been ran off by trolls and morons.

When you are as good as me you ask nobody. You fix the problem and that's how we learn. There is no harm in asking but you get 50 different answers.

I actually was a member of 420 and Canibis.com grasscity I found they were not helpful it might take a minute but I usally get help on a question and calmed down. I had to take over a garden I knew nothing I have had a positive experience with ppl. I take everything with a grain of salt google or read my guidebook but most of the time the real growers help. I think it is one of the best but you will have idiots on whatever site you go on. Just this gals 2 cents.

Well sativas are all I have ever done this with. Honestly I have let them even grow un-topped and just used bent welding rods in the shape of hooks to stake them down including side branches. They look spreadeagled then. Like Colton420s mom on Saturday night. No matter which method every side bud gets full light.
