RIU and their Emails

First off, I love this site, some chill ass helpful people.
But these emails telling me their is a new message in the main forum I made could use a different name for sender. Cause 20 emails that all say "Marijuana Growing" is kinda not that stealthy eh? I mean, this is a mary growin site but where the tuxedo at for emails ya know?

see i like the update, just the name. cause when i am signed on msn it tells when my thread has been posted to
and I am not sure how to get email updates for other people's threads or yours would effeminately be on there

the forum settings by default automatically subscribe you to every post you read.
click on my rollitup at top left. then down on the left under settings and options click "edit options" and you will see where it subscribes you by defalt about the middle of the page. set that to "do not subscribe" then on the left again click "list subscriptions" then select all and use the drop down to delete subscription.
then you can subscribe to only posts you actuallyy want to follow not every thread you have ever opened

Yea I do that already but when it auto subscribes me it doesn't auto send me updates via email
Only the threads I start.

In your email you should be able to change the alias that that email comes up as. So you should be able to change it to whatever youd like.

i mean, whenever you set up your account, you should be able to disable the email notification.....is that right?? whenever you sign on if someone messages you, you get notification anyways, and as far as new posts in your journal or subscribed threads, dont u check them everyday anyways?

ok thanks, fdd i changed it in my email contacts and it still says marijuana growing. Maybe you could change it to something like Horticulture or somethin i dunno
i dont want to have to disable this
someone walking by and an email pops up, MARIJUANA GROWING!

i don't have the power to change it but rollitup keeps an eye on this section.

i love the "titties" tag. lol

Yeah ... I hope something is done about the emails... I even unchecked the boxes in my settings that enable emails to be sent every time there is a new post or I get a pm ... I still get emails... Why am I even given the option of choosing not to receive them if it doesn't even work? I have the email set aside just for this because it gets flooded with riu notices...
