Ok so here it is. Round 2. My first run I used 1200w HPS, this round I decided to stuff another hood in my room as well as an air conditioner.

I am vegging under 2x400w MH.

I am going to be growing 31 plants in square 3 gallon pots.

15 GreenCrack
x LA Confidential
x Serious Seeds Chronic (ak47xNorthernLights)

Tonight I only had enough pots/soil/perlite for the 16 LA Con/Chronics I had. (Im not sure which ones are which yet, hence the X. I started off with 9 of each, unrooted).

The GC's are still in 16oz cups, bushier then all hell. I'll put them in the room tomorrow.

I'm going to veg to about 8 inches, and hope for the best. My goal is a nice level canopy.

For nutrients i'm going to be using Floranova Grow/Bloom.
"The Yellow Bottle" PRE-BLOOM and ULTRA-BLOOM, maybe PHAT-BLOOM, as well as OOZE-BLOOM.
AN Overdrive

I like long flushes and green crack is a fast flower (42-49 days) so i might look into flushing agents..anyone have any good suggestions??

Wish me luck! :weed:

nice man keep me updated
'scribed. Final Flush or Clearex both work for flushing. I look forward to seeing this one go down. Especially if it's as good as the last one.

This summer is a bitch to deal with isn't it? I'm only running 1 600w for flower right now and it's working out without the A/C. I'm hoping to add another tent come winter time and a 1000w light so I can run the 600w and a 1000w in seperate rooms. Need night time temps to be pretty low though. Try to run the 600w during the day and the 1000w at night.

Ok so I filled up my room. The 3 gallon square pots are now 4.78, WITHOUT TAX, A PIECE, so fuck that..

I got 15 grow bags to put my 15 GC's in there.

I am going to veg for another couple days, put my 3rd 600w in there and flip.

Does anyone have any opinions or suggestions??

I am going to eventually put the bushy GCs on one half, while the others on are the other half, due to the stretch on the other ones I got them directly under the bulb for some tighter internode spacing before I flip.

ok, go..suggestions, opinions, comments, bong hits, blunts, bitches, titties, you name it... im game for it all in the round 2 thread.

Supercropped like 4 of the tallest girls. Im pretty sure I took my toll out on 1 of the 4 today, she looks pretty bad...

Tomorrow I put my last hood ballast in. Flower hopefully in less then a week.

Thanks for your .02.

What are the advantages of having extra co2, if you're constantly replacing it with fresh air anyway (24/7 intake/exhaust) ... co2 sounds more ideal for my situation, because im concerned about power usage.

If you are enriching with co2 you wouldnt need to constantly replace the air and you wouldnt have to worry about temps as much. The ladies like warmer conditions when grown with co2. So you wouldnt have to use the air conditioner to keep your space cool. They would also grow twice as fast.

Its a good thought, but I only have one fan to air cool my hoods, but I guess a one time investment in another fan to exhaust the air would be good too.

Thanks for that. i'll put it into consideration.

The only problem I see with co2 is not having the temperatures warm enough during winter.

I only plan to use the A/C until things cool down, then return it. I have until November 9, lol.

I dont think I need co2 with constant fresh air 24/7. But, im sure it would help. I want to build a sealed room in a new house.

Adding Co2 isn't going to replace the need for an A/C in this summer heat brotha. And the A/C also doubles as a dehumidifier (although that isn't a problem right now). Co2 is definitely nice, but I have found that fresh air, good ventilation and cooler temps are the best.

One that makes a statement like that makes me wonder if they have ever grown with co2. Good ventilation and cooler temps is NOT better than co2. I have grown both ways and there is no replacement for co2. Good ventilations and coolers temps is good. But co2 is best. Guaranteed if you did a expiriment with 2 plants one in a co2 environment and one in a perfect environment with no co2 the co2 enriched plant would out do the non co2 plant in every way possible. and co2 will replace the need for a a/c. Just run your lights at night.

I think what he is saying is before worrying about co2 i should worry about proper enviroment control.

Without proper temperature/humidity & ventilation, there is no sense in running co2, as i wont be reaching the full potential out of my ladies to begin with.

I believe next room I build, it will be sealed with A/C, Dehumidifier, Temperature control like the AIR-2, and co2.

Until then I am going to have to work with what I got (24/7 intake, exhaust, due to only 1 vortex).

After my next harvest I should have saved enough money from not spending so much money on my medicine, to go the route I dream of.

Until then, this is what im workin with :D Temperature ranges from 75.9 to about 82. Humidity ranges from 35% - 45%. This is without the 3rd hood lit up yet, though.

I don't know exactly where bterz is located, but it's 104 degrees outside here locally! Runnin 3 600w lights without an A/C is asking for it. Night time temps are now in the mid 80's. I didn't state that Co2 wasn't AS beneficial as Co2. I said that it wasn't going to replace the need for an A/C in this weather. Obviously a Co2 encriched plant will outperform a non Co2 plant. If your grow room is 105-110 degrees the co2 isn't going to help your burned up plants.

I would certainly get my growroom conditions ideal before adding Co2. But then anyone who doesn't think that having ideal growroom conditions is more important than a co2 tank makes me wonder if they've ever grown before.

quote me laserburn. i never said that a co2 tank was more important than a having ideal growroom conditions. you said that "Co2 is definitely nice, but I have found that fresh air, good ventilation and cooler temps are the best." i said good ventilation and cooler temps is good but that co2 is best and will outperform a perfect environment. which is definately true. i said that by him using co2 he might not have to worry about his temps getting too high and it would also enable his plants to grow at their full potential. you can run your lights at night if your too worried about the temps. and with co2 you can let your temps get into the mid to high 80's. also he wouldnt need another fan. all he would need is to air cool his lights.

BTW dont insult me laserburn. all i said was i wonder if you have ever grown with co2 not if you have ever grown before. most who havent used co2 dont understand the difference it makes and how much it helps. thats all. im sorry if you took it the wrong way. if you dont think ive grown before check the link in my sig.

I haven't grown with Co2 but I have seen it first hand and I agree that there's nothing like it. I just know how hot it is right now locally. RIDICULOUSLY hot and I personally wouldn't add Co2 in luie of having an ideal grow room.

I recall the size of his grow room, the temps outside and that he's already running air cooled lamps. Adding a 3rd air cooled lamp when the room is already 82 degrees is going to likely raise the temps too much. He's vegging in the same closet so he can have 6 hours of lights off but there isn't a 6 hour window that's cool enough.

It's not meant to insult you, it's a matter of principle. If you want to add another 600w light in that space I would either A) wait another month until it's cooler (probably the easiest solution) or get that A/C up and running. Adding co2 MAY work but why spend the money on the equipment when ultimately the goal is going to be to have the A/C and the Co2 to get the optimal results.

your right laser. i totally forgot about him vegging. I vegged for 2 weeks but i didnt use co2 during veg for that reason. it would have been too hot. But when he switches to 12/12 he could run his light at night and wouldnt have to worry about the temps. All im saying is co2 is definately worth it and there is nothing like it.

Alright ladies & gentlemen, im back with some updates..

Still got 15 GC, and 15 1/2 LA Con & Chronic (combined) for a total of 31 little bitches..

I still have not turned on my 3rd hood. I think im going to give it about a week max, then flip.

LST'd a Chronic.
Snapped a Chronic in half supercropping. She started to heal and grow and while I was watering I hit her pretty hard, she was upset.

Havnt touched the green crack. They're like rapid fire.

I gave them a big dose of Vitamin B1 and a small dose of Flora Nova Grow. Hopefully it doesnt burn them. The GC's look like they could use some nitrogen, anyway...

First pic is right side of the room
2nd picture is left side of the room.
3rd picture is my LST job that I have a feeling is going to be GREAT!
4th picture, temp and humidity
5th picture, the wounded soldier..she cant heal herself but she refuses to stop growing lol..

had to edit out the bottle cap, uploaded a photo with something I dont want on it!!

Not much to say huh? lol thats because they're just babies..i hope atleast..

Does anyone think I should make the flip to 12/12? My GreenCracks are CONSIDERABLY shorter in height, but are much more bushy.

I know the Chronic and LA con are gonna stretch a bit, and they seem to have a perfect ammount of room. I also have heard the GC doubles in size..

So, some people help me decide!!

Flip to 12/12
or
DONT flip to 12/12

They look great. It's always like this when it's not your first grow. We've all come to expect you to know what you are doing. If you had problems people would be chiming in, but you've got it down and they look good so there isn't much to say yet. I know I'm excited to see this go off though!

I would wait a little bit longer to switch to 12/12, but not much. Maybe a week or so, but that's just me. You certainly COULD make the flip now and they would be just fine though. I just prefer to get them a little bigger and stronger and then trim the bottom 1/3 off each one so you get nice big nugs up top.
