No Enigmatic, I am talking about the arsenic, chloritic, nasty water that a reverse osmosis filter separates at the tap, at usually a 2:1 ratio. i just end up dumping it onto my lawn every few days when my trash can res is filled and that has to be wasteful. I'm wondering if theres anything i can do to better utilize that water. I heard of some plants that clean out dirty water like that. There is a lake in New york where they are using swampy plants to clear out the pollution, for example.

RO's are meant to be plumbed so that the water you're referring to goes down the drain. If you want to use it for something, save it and flush your toilets with it or water your garden. The thing is, that water will never stop coming. You will run out of uses for it before you use it all.....man that has got to be a bitch to try and find a use for all that water.

Ours is saved and dumped into the washing machine.Waste not want not as water isnt cheap here.I have a very good quality of rodi unit and can make 10 gallons of good to 4 gal of waste.
