Roasted Buds - what to do?

Well, it happened. My friend's light fell into the plants and roasted a good amount of near harvest buds. Some are still wet with crunchy leaves and others are completely dry and crunchy but with no evident burning.

For now he is leaving them alone to see if they rehydrate but I'm wondering how much THC was destroyed when this happened.

Anyone ever have this happen? Man when I think about how lucky he was that there was no fire it makes me think about how important it is to properly secure your lights.

Anyway, I'm wondering if the buds will be salvageable.

Heh - no can't say I ever had this happen. One way to find out about the thc - take those dry crunchy ones and blaze 'em up!

uhhh heat and light destroys thc at the molecular level... its not a very stable compound. ive never had that happen myself but i would THINK that if the buds were crunchy there probably goners... just my opinion tho

Get yourself some good 100lb anchors from Walmart, Depot, Lowes etc. I have them holding up a conversion hood w/ ballast and seems extremely sturdy.
