Ok, so rockwool for going into soil is bad? why? I have used it for years with all types of plants but I am not an expert. Please drop some knowledge on me, why is rockwool a no go for clone -> soil?

where did you get that info..?
i mean i would use rapid rooters before i used rockwool, but i have gotten tons on clones in rockwool before and had no issue growing them out in soil.
the roots just grow through the rockwool into the soil and then you're soil growing..
not sure if using rockwool on soil would negate your "organic" status though..

doing som research here I found this thread, https://www.rollitup.org/newbie-central/38371-soil-cloning.html the first reply starts out with "don't use rockwool". the thread never goes into why, and rather than thread-jack, I am here.

Yeah I never had a problem with rockwool either but if there is some new and better knowledge I am all ears. thanks for the reply, I am thinking the same as you.
cheers

rockwool is mined right next to abestos. super heated and spun to be light and fluffy. I see no reason why something that is from the earth going right in to the earth. plus it will hold moisture so you will have to water less often. I have never cloned or grown with out using rockwool and I have only ever had a problem on my first grow. when I was getting the bugs out

Yes I'll jump in on the "yes it's fine" consortium as well. Some people don't know what they are talking about on here as you will learn, so you will get to know who's advice you can trust, and who's you will have to double check.

You're getting some good advice so far.
