had a veiled cham, unfortunately she had a hard time passing eggs and after about 1.5years she became verry weak. i suspected a calcium defficiency due to the egg bound. She became very lethargic and stopped eating after a while-became verry weak and couldnt carry her body. my setup was nice and she was verry comfortable at the beginning but the egg laying was a problem. She was quite a bitch too never let me touch her even after repeated tries froma baby. Trying to find a panther cham breeder or maybe cop a screameleon cham hmmm. I hear the panthers are the best, hardy and easily handled, well easy for an animal that like to be alone 90% of the time. I loved watching her eat
I bet they love the hid light

I had one as well, man was it badass, had it for like 10years n prb longer if i didnt give it away(too big needed a change). Loved being handled and just chillin around, Nothing better then watching a fat rats eyes pop out its head.

nice reptiles everyone

I took over a chameleon for a friend a few years ago and had no idea what I was doing but I've been looking at either fish or reptiles for my next "hobby"

This thread makes me want to lean towards reptiles :D (if my wife will let me, lol)

I've always wanted to have a lizard or two living in the grow room. I think that'd be awesome. Hey reptile guys, can I house lizards in my grow room if I give them what they need?

Sick forum! Fuzzy you got it right with how these guys are like setting up a nice grow! It is a lot of work to make things just right for them but totally worth the effort. I think my best purchase was the automatic mister, they drink sooo much! I always thought the same thing that they are like flowering 12/12. my whole bedroom lights up at 9 with the cham cages and HPS from my closet haha, its a nice alarm clock.

Those chemeleons are really cool. The pics of them climbing through the plants are awesome. I've had some turtles, a gopher tortise, a horned toad and an iguana when I was younger. Now I just have dogs, but i've always liked reptiles.
Have any of you ever seen those sulcatta tortises? They sell them at pet stores as babys and don't tell people that they get huge! Like 200 pounds. There are a lot of them that get abandoned cause they get so big and people can't keep them inside any more. I've thought about rescuing one or two of them and letting them roam around the back yard like big living boulders.

How cool is that? I read They had one England that was documented to have lived to for 165 years. And Leonardo Dicaprio just bought one.
