Rollitup Transforming into Google/Elementary School??

I was gone for a couple months and when I came back noticed the pickings were slim for interesting threads. I guess I'll go play outside on my scooter now :blsmoke:
 
HAH, i was 17 when i joined this forum, so ofcorpse my first 1000 post was complete bullshit :lol:, but when i turned 18 my shit was golden, fucking golden :hump:

although i agree with the statement its the internet... so you cant filter it out
 
while i agree that this thread is a little redundant in itself, it is nice to have a bitch-fest every once in a while. that's basically what i do. pretty much all of what is being said is the truth. i've been here less than 2 years so i can't appreciate whatever was so great about 2008 at riu, but i have noticed a surge of people who seem to be very young lately. i think i'm just getting old, so the idea of someone who is 18+ using all of this internet slang and talking foolishness seems weird to me. at the same time i have a 21 year old nephew who i can barely understand with the way he talks, so i guess i'm just out of touch. back on the google topic, JUST FOR FUN, go to advanced search (yes, the "crappy" riu one), for the keyword type in superthrive, and change the dropdown to only search thread titles. there are 100 threads that come up with superthrive in the title, all asking the same things about superthrive. there is absolutely no need for that. it's one thing if a thread gets cluttered with a million posts, but that's almost never the case.

Yeah, you gotta kind of check in and see who's in what threads and whats interesting. You just have to make an effort to post interesting stuff and hope others take the lead

People just changed and new people came in, there are good threads every once in a while you just can't waste your time in the BS ones

I don't know if I can agree, I mean I've been seeing it more and more and the idea of this thread has been on my mind way before I saw it. It's only been recently that it's been getting spammed up though
 
it is slim pickings on here for threads..i wanna laugh when i check out RUI...but usually i end up reading the political bullshit because there is nothing fun or funny going on. ive tried to put a couple out there but had no bites.
 
I think the lack of infractions being handed out is a prime result of this. When I first joined I bagged on some kid for getting pissed because his mom snagged his plant and told him not to grow. I just bagged on some fruitcake earlier and got nothing. Not that I'm complaining about not getting an infraction but sometimes the strong hand of the mods need to be felt.

lol, i must be right at the cut off point then, im still pretty young yet i guess im out of touch too. This newer generation, i swear, theyve grown up on this internet since they were kids, i didnt get my first comp till 13, 14 till i got the internet, slow ass dial up, man them were the days....not. lol. Their seems like such a big gap between us and them at times. I agree.
