romulan finished, questions

so i just finished my first hydro grow. here's some details

romulan from reputable club
ebb and flow
16 plants
rockwool on cocoa mat
plastic over with panda film
using GH 3 part nutrient program
1200w

now the part i didn't like was the size of the buds. they seemed to grow just lots and lots of leaves and never really push out the nugs. i did follow the recipe exactly, switched when i should, etc... my buddy said he's had this happen a lot with white rhino where the leaves just keep growing really thick up at the top and not enough bud production. hoping someone has some ideas so i can learn from my mistakes.

here's almsot all the pictures i took, but some from tonite and earlier this week. today is day 62 (strain is 58-62 days according to big book of buds)

Try using different flowering nutes. The 3 part program is usually just for basic plant health. Try adding something like bud blood, big bud and add some sort of natural sugar like honey or molasses.

From the pictures it looks like they have too much nitrogen because the leaves look way thicker and greener then usual. This will also stop it from putting production into the buds.

i forgot to add that i did use kool bloom for 2 res changes. my friend said it was too much N early on as well, but i'm just not sure what happened sincei followed the formula..also what could i have done to fix it or not do it in the first place?
