Roof Grow

I'm thinking of growing one autoflower Green-o-matic plant on my 4 floor roof. This is the highest building around, in a small sized city. I think this plant gets to 2 feet tall max, hopefully closer to a foot. I want to tuck it into the corner, this roof has a 18" wall all around, so she will only get sun for about half the day and be in a shadow for the rest. I am wondering if this is likely to be spotted? It is an auto so it will be done in mid jully, before the choppers come out in bulk. Also, it is just one small plant. Also, will sun for the half the day be enough? This isnt the main question as i already have the seed and dirt and this only costs $10 in all for the grow so any bud is good. Mostly, do you think its safe. Im more concerned about my landlord or some one stumbling onto the roof for some reason than the choppers i guess. Any thoughts?

Are there gutters? I've heard of someone growing a similar strain in uncleaned gutters of a building. People look at the plant and think "someone didn't clean the gutters". But something in a actual pot with nothing else to look at may inspect.

If you're even thinking that somebody would have even a remote reason I wouldn't grow there. Only grow in a place that only YOU have access to. A single plant in a pot on a roof looks pretty suspecious and if somebody were to find it I'm sure it would raise some questions. I think choppers would be out of the picture to spot a single plant on a roof. But hey if you feel comfortable then go for it. Just deny deny deny if anything happens haha

There are no gutters, and it will be in a pot. Im not sure if that makes a difference, a random plant in a pot or in a big pile of dirt on the roof lol. But, i dont think anyone goes up there, ive kept weed in a bag up there, but it was just a bag as oposed to a growing plant. I just dont know if people usualy go up on the roof routinely for maintanance i wouldnt know. I guess unless a nieghbor complains of a leaking roof i should be fine. I dont want to grow inside because my landlord might come in some time without notice, or i have visitors i dont want knowing and the smell might be an issue or fan noice etc. Much simpler to do an outdoor. Even if they find it they cant link it to me, unless the cops are gona camp out on the roof and wait for the grower lol. But, i do have a good amount of buds in the apt. Do you think they can search everyones house over something like that.

I was picturing a flat roof where it would be possible for several people to hang out. If you're talking about a slanted roof of shingles, then you are most likely safe. I mentioned the gutters because I heard of it being done successfully and also because since I've heard it I've paid closer attention to gutters and constantly see small trees (up to 2 feet) growing in uncleaned gutters.
In the United States, a landlord cannot enter an apartment except for an emergency without the tenant's permission. Also, the police cannot search your home without just cause. So if they found a plant on a roof with several apartments they cannot search yours.
So without knowing all the circumstances, I'd say to start the plant in your apartment and keep it there as long as you can (until it starts to flower and smell), then move it to the roof. Also, if it's just bagseed and will be thrown out, there's no loss if it gets snagged.
