Rookie grower....one week in

Hello green friends.

Germinated seeds about 8 days ago. Started in Jiffy pellets. Currently have about 50 lil babies in solo cups ranging from about 3 - 6 inches. Currently getting direct sunlight on balcony all day.

Will be growing these outdoors on private property with a few acres of forest, located next to fresh water source in fertile grow area (winery district).

2 main concerns are :

1. when will babies be strong enough to transfer into natural surroundings.

2. children will be planted a considerable distance away from where i reside.

I believe in the power of mother nature (these plants grew long before we discovered them and applied science to it), but any helpful advice would be greatly appreciated.

I don't grow outside man but I'm pretty sure if you fence in the area and you don't have any really bad weather expected you can plant them after a month or so. Maybe less but idk I'd just worry about wind. But really if you dig a hole some ways down then those little babies will be protected better from the wind till they can get big. It's good to believe in the power of mother nature but you still wanna add in some good soil in with your natural fertile soil just so they can take root quickly and grow strong. Other than that man you should be good.

zilla, thanks for your feedback. like you, im worried about the northern weather conditions. I did my research and picked some strains that flourished in my area conditions. guess i gotta trust it and hope all is well when i go to visit them.

Make sure the temperatures are consistent before you plant them. Seedlings and young plants need consistent 75-80 degree Fahrenheit weather. Not much below 60 at night. Make sure the soil drains well where you plant them, they don't like to get too wet. Good luck.
