Just to clarify this is not a discussion on how to root cuttings but a method of clone propagation.
I am attempting to grow some clones using the roots to grow some new plants. It is very difficult to get any information about this since if you type in "root cuttings" its normally about people trying to root their cuttings instead of the method described here.
To begin I found an article on root cloning rose bushes. I decided to try 2 different methods. I use DWC so I can hack away at roots with ease. I grabbed some dirt from 2 dead potted plant we have and first tried laying the roots on flat on a layer and covering up with 1-2mm of dirt. Second method was described from the article as: cut 3in of roots and plant vertically with the root bottom facing bottom (your plant isnt going to grow from the root bottom, but from the root top).
I am unsure if my dirt is contaminated with other plants or if these are the marijuana growing from the dirt. I havent ever germinated weed seeds but it looks like a very early stage of growth. Here are the pictures...
