Root issues.

I have two mother plants that are 6 weeks into flowering and I'm having some issues with brown roots, not slimy. They appear to be light brown with black spots on the secondaries ?? They are in RDWC. Water temp 70 degrees, air in all buckets, using current culture nutrients, Ph is a little higher then i normally keep it, sitting at 6.7. PPM is 450 ( i did a flush with phed water 4 days ago, ( then added nutes at half strength. )IMG_20151222_193114593.jpg IMG_20151222_193151573.jpg IMG_20151222_193203968.jpg

Looks like root rot, but they would feel slimy if it was. What color is your nutrient solution? Is it possible they've been dyed from it?

Thanks for the idea kryp. I don't think it's dye. The girls are very unhappy because of this. I do think it is some kind of root rot. We have increased the air and are doing a uc roots flush now then we are going to drain and refill with nutes plus hydroguard.

Why dont you just add some hydrogen peroxide? If there is anything lurking in your nutrient solution it'll knock it out while supplying a shit ton of oxygen to your roots. Hydrogen peroxide will make your roots bleached white from the intake of oxygen.

We had tried H202 in the past in flower and they took it very bad, they wilted and never recovered. So i'm super gun shy to do that again. Thanks !

Definitely rot. ppm @ 600. ph @ 5.8. Next fill her up with just h202 water (follow directions on back of plant specific h202, its more convienent), let that sit for an hour then drain and refill again. Do this 2 or 3 times then fill up with regular nute's with some of Hiesenburgs dwc root slime cure. The approach is "air strike the enemy's, and bring in ground troops". Treat um like there isis.
