It's also 10x more expensive than a bottle of h2o2. Unless you have a huge res, I don't see the value.

Been using h2o2 but read an article saying it weakens your plant and makes it more susceptible to disease.

Either way though the h2o2 isn't worth it with 10 individual dwc 5gal buckets. What I liked about the ozonizer is you just drop an airstone in the water, job done. So they say anyway...

Ordered one already so it should be here by tomorrow. Will post if it works.

Thanks for the input:peace:

I don't know about using one for growing, but I know they work very well for keeping the water in a hot tub clear and clean. It reduces the need for high levels of bromine that kills growth in the water. I would use a timer and have it run maybe 5 min per day. I would think too much ozone in the water can damage roots just like too much ozone in a grow room can hurt the plants.

The idea sounds good, but I would use it very sparingly until you learn and gain experience with what reactions your plants may or may not have.

at lowes they sell pond pumps with a combo uv light sterilizer attached and also one seperate both for ponds and water filtration. Would this have any affect. Once the heat and lack of oxygen has led to disease does it live in the water or in the roots? I guess your system is awesome and maybe a recirculating system with this would be killer! Envy yu. I have never had probs but I used either hydrgouard myco to help or now h202 as I use an all mineral (chem) program with gh three part and gh hardwater micro. I also use straight tapwater and always hope some chlorine does some good.

Using UV sterilization also kills the beneficial bacteria's. But I'b be interested to see about the ozonizer.

Dude its the exact opposite,H2o2 is the shit.Make no mistake about it.It makes you plants bigger and stronger.H2o2 is amazing and you plants will grow off the hook.Ive done 10 grows with it and will never go back.

My thoughts exactly. Fortunately I got "spair" plants, as some are not going in the scrog or getting flowered. I'm going to take the most affected one and use it as a test subject. Not really something I'm that happy about but it needs to be done.

Only found one grow shop selling these which is what gave me the idea in the first place.

Maybe so, haven't got any experience of my own with the stuff until recently.

I want to use the ozonizer at first to hopefully get rid of all my problems. Then every 3 days just before I put an enzyme product in. Unfortunately I believe it will kill these the same as the h2o2 but it doesn't stay in the water so once the treatment is done I can add whatever I like

uv and ozone are the same thing. I bet their uses sparks to create ozone. UV uses light, uv to create o3. Nitric oxided is a byproduct of corona discharge but it looks like yu dont have to worry with it under water. It is bad topside.

Wow man you had me worried there when I started reading things like nitric oxide. Glad you said it was ok under water and I'll remember to only switch it on when it is:eyesmoke:
