Root rot only happens in my closet

everytime I take the plant out the root rot goes away, when I put it back it comes back. I know it sounds wierd but idk if this is a coincidence anymore. What could it be. It's not heat or light. I was thinking something with air circulation maybe? I mean I'm putting it in soil but an answer would be nice. It drops in there like it's not getting enough oxygen

What would that do
You'd be surprised at how many problems raising pots/buckets/beds off the ground solves. It's kind of crazy. I'd assume a lot of it is airflow, along with being further away from garbage particles on the ground. Don't know the scientifics behind it, but ime it helps with all kinds of issues in the grow room.

whats the temp of your nute solution? Warmer water holds less dissolved oxygen. Your closet is probably warmer than the rest of the room. increasing the temp of your solution,

those roots don't look that good for sure.

i've never seen roots all so close to the bottom of the netpot. when i did dwc, roots were much, much longer all the way to the bottom of the bucket.

how exactly are you chilling that bucket?

I see the problem

1st off switch to black or coloured pipes for your airlines

they are letting light into your bucket

also orange is not the best colour

cover your bucket with some mylar or plastic to make sure its keeping all the light out

but more than likely its that clear airline and heat or a lack of air

keep your dwc simple, use a root zone or water conditioner, use simple feeds with nothing organic and use mycore, tricadema and other bennies when establishing the res if you can

I don't use a bucket that lets in light. It's doing good in the orange one. Because it's not in the grow room. Maybe that room has mold under the carpet?

It could be that your closet has microscopic bacteria or mold and when you put your air pump inside it's pulling contaminated air into the root zone. Most root rot from dwc with air pumps can be linked to poor ambient air quality of this manner. This is why pluming and waterfall systems for water oxygenation are beneficial.

Have you tried bucket inside closet, air pump outside as a test?

yeah watch where your pump is getting air from

also don`t use clear house for water or airline, them clear airlines are not helping you.
