Rooting hormone powder

My question is if I germinate the paper towl way could in dip the seedlings in rooting hormone powder before I put them in either my soil or hydro medium(running both)? Didn't know if this would burn the hell outta them or make take off like crazy?

You don't want to put that on a taproot.

my question would be what the hell is the point....its not a clone, were u trying to achieve more rapid root growth?

That was the thought. I've searched around for the answer for couple days and found nothing so figured I would just ask on here. Didn't try it but just a thought when I saw the stuff at the store I knew it was for cloning.
