i have a two month headband that is currently planted in a 3 gallon pot.now im planning to turn the lights to 12\12 as soon as the clones i took from her root.my question is will i have to transplant her so that she could have more space two grow roots ,for the next 2 months of flowering.does root production slowdown ,stop,or increase once flowering is commenced.(current grow headband promix\foxfarm mix 1to1 ratio ,nutes foxfarm line).thanks in advance for any help applied.

Roots grow with the foliage, they will grow for the 1st week or two, then slow down and stop. I would deffinately replant.

imho i would transplant into a 5 gal pot and water with something that inhibits transplant shock and promotes root growth... bigger roots are always good... and if you are gonna transplant might as well make sure you use up all the space right??

good luck bro

your plant doubles in size during the first few weeks of flowering... since roots grow with the plant they will get larger too... which means needed space

you dont need to transplant.. you'll be fine with the 3 gal pot... but your plant will be much happier... and itll yield more for you... stronger roots = stronger plant = better yielding plant

any root stimulator... root 66 if you want to stick with technaflora... ummm.. heard good things about iguana juice... fox farms... they are all tested and proven.. any of those would work for you...

and you could prolly go less than a week after transplant to switch to 12/12... i assume thats what you meant... 2-3 days with thrive alive would be good.. a week would be more than good..

havent used it myself.. just looked it up.. its a soil additive?? it seems to do very much the same thing as thrive alive just as a soil additive.. i personally am not into soil additives only because they are annoying as hell to remove should it adversely affect your plant... flushing one plant can be a pain in the ass, let alone an entire garden... you can achieve the same affects as the plant success stuff by adding 1 tsp/gal of black strap molases to your feeding regiment.. it helps promote the good micro organisms in the soil by giving them sugars to feed on.. which assist in breaking down the nutes for plant absorbtion.. and give the plant extra sugars which not only add flavor but help thc production... but thats just mo and 2cents worth...
