roots never went anywhere?????

so i've been having issues with 2 plants not growing.. at all. litterly. i couldnt figure it out so today i got to the "root" of the problem. when i took the plant out of the pot my roots were still in the shape of the 16 oz party cup from a month ago (they were in 2litr pots) the roots never expanded out into the new soil why is this??? was it the soil (MG) i have now transplanted into 1.5 gallon pots with pro mix i baught at menards. oh and is this the PRO MIX everyone is always talking about?? i could never find it till todayView attachment 1232699

water from the edge of the pot and force the roots to grow into the soil to the water. you might be watering around the stem, and they got no reason to spread out.

i do water exactly at the stem every time.. so i should water the outside of the pot for now on?? is that wut your saying?? and also do u know anything about this pro mix well it work well ((or atleast better than miricale grow)) oh and +rep for replying

Its root locked. Might not grow unless you prune the roots. I suggest taking it back out, cut half the roots off, ruff the rootball up a bit, then replant in bigger pot.
