Round 2: Extrema & El Monstre DWC Cooler Scrog

I gave a couple cookies to a few friends. They said they were fucked up for a long time. Lol!
And that was just from one cookie. Took about an hour to kick in.
I don't feel much from them cuz I smoke blunts all the time, but I know if I wasn't smoking then I'd feel it alot more.
Just funny watching everybody get fucked up from eating a cookie.
Just gotta keep em away from kids at get togethers.
I have enough butter to make another edible. Not sure what I wanna make.

Here is a cured bud from Round 1: This is my special ingredient in the cookies. SHHH!!

Can't say I don't post pics in here. Lol! Couple more days til the 12/12 flip.
I am wanting to switch to flower. Just waiting for the clone on the right to get a little bigger.
Just in case the Extrema is a male. I want the El Monstre to be big enough to make some budz.
I tried to get some close ups of the shoots to give an idea of how they train to the screen.
The Extrema is gonna be a beast if it's a female.

Blu I cant get over that duo-shaded green one. It really is appealing to the eyes because it splits your leaf right down the middle ;) They're lookin healthy man. Keep em comin!

Yea they look pretty awesome split colored strait down the middle.
If it's female I may take a clone from one of the yellow branches.

They have been vegging long enough. Switched the timer to 12/12 starting tonight.
Lights off from 6 pm - 6 am. Time to see what we will be working with. One female or two.
These pics are taken under the HPS as you can probably tell by the quality.

I initially planned to do a 4 week veg but decided to go a couple weeks longer so I could get them over their root issues.
I am around week 7 of veg now and they are looking healthy again.
Time to flip the lights and try to fill out the screen and keep even canopy.
I am going on vacation mid August and they should be around 4 weeks in flower.
Sucks to leave them but they should look a bit different after the week away.
They are still kinda small but I am expecting to see some good budz.
I had one in Round 1 that was as big as the El Monstre clone is and it produced 4 oz dry.
I'll be happy with the same results per plant. I was hoping for a pound this grow but thats not gonna happen since pulling out my other Extrema last week. Gonna get exciting around here now!!

Hey, duder. I'm planning a scrog for my next as well. How is that screen working out for you? Is it pretty sturdy?

Oh, and btw, things are looking good for round 2, huh? Don't fuck it up this time! Lol!

Hey there!
Screen in working out very good and is very sturdy. I have it screwed in the 2x3 stud walls of the cab.
Holes are 2.5" squares. Well most of them are. They kinda vary in size. Lol!
Oh, I'm not gonna fuck it up this time. Budz still turned out decent but not as good as they should have been.

Checked on them today and the temp was 90 in the cab but the plants must have loved it.
As soon as I opened the cab door I was in awe at the growth they did over the past 24 hours.
The clone is starting to show pistils and the Extrema is not showing signs yet.
Still early tho. Within a week I should know for sure if I have 2 females. Extrema sure is pretty and big!!

So you're scrogging without confirmed females? Tricky. I've always wondered about that. Good luck. I'm gonna watch this to get ideas for my scrog.

Yes. I only allow them to grow about an inch of two into the screen.
Since I am constantly pulling them they never really get tangled in the screen.
So if a male occurs then I will simply raise the screen up about a foot and pull the male out.
I screen during veg so I can get them to be bigger when they reach flowering. Or just LST the shit out of them.
I find it easier and less time consuming to just screen em vs LST them constantly.

My screen is filling out nicely. Now it's time to empty it out quite a bit.
I am 99% sure the yellow leaf Extrema is a male. I see clusters of what looks like seeds.
I purchased those Extrema seeds specifically and all I get to smoke is from my freebie seeds.
It's good smoke but I was really wanting to try the Extrema.
Makes me wanna end this grow all together and start again in a couple months when the weather cools down.
But the show must go on so I can have some good budz. Better than Round 1 with a good flush.
I know I can pull 4-5 oz dry from the clone so I'll grow it out and see how she does.
It is what it is. I'll pull the Extrema out today and do a rez change on the El Mon then move her directly under the light and watch that baby grow.

Supz Blu :D Sorry to hear about the male :( If it makes you feel ny better I'm pretty sure one of my girlz herm'd on me like 6 Weeks into flower....but oh wellz I guess. I definately agree since you still have time to train and whatnot I'd definately do that one plant as big as you can possibly fn make it lulz. Direct lighting to that whole upper canopy would be some hella nice colaz indeed :D The idea of harvesting the pollen sounds cool too...couldnt you just cut the pollen sacks off after you remove the plant and then put it in like a medicine bottle? Nice ring to it if you wanna get some femalez later down the road..may do that if i ever run into a male..happy growing man! Working on harvesting this week should you feel the need to swing by the thread and show some <3 ;)

That has been my goal all along. To have as big of plants as I can under the screen.
Just wanted more than one and that Extrema sure looked good.
I don't have the space to keep it as a male. I will take it as a loss and start over when I set up another grow.
Finish this one out then it's deer season.
I have too many people at my house during this time.
So after this grow I am gonna break for a couple months I think.
Depends on how I feel I guess.
I am a freak when it comes to tucking fan leaves and trimming the ones off that are blocking new growth.
I believe that is one thing that really helps with the spreading and growing.
Some don't cut their shades but for me it helps to grow more branches and bud sites.

I don't have the space to keep it around and grow it out even tho I would like to for all of the seeds.

I went from damn near a full screen to a puny scrog. I know it looks pathetic.
But I am confident that I will still end up with 4-5 oz dry. That is my goal!
Changed the rez today on El Mon and cleaned it out then relocated it to the middle of the screen.
My roots sure do look better too. Best looking roots I have had.
