Routine Traffic Stop and Medical Marijuana Card at play ! Hell yeah it worked

So I was pulled over in my Jeep today , it has a small block 318 with a Throaty exhaust minus the catalytic converter .. Loud but legal it is , well this cop said I was speeding even though my GPS said different .. I handed over my licence and registration as required and immediately was asked where the Cannabis was in my vehicle lmao .. Guess stink proof bags and Jars don't always work lmao ..

He smelled it past it all and wanted answers .. Answers beyond his legal right .. I stepped up to the plate and asserted my rights while handing him a medical marijuana card while assuring him I would not answer his asinine questions about where I was going or coming from ( None of his damn business )

Long story short , before having a medical card I would have went straight to jail and today LEO hung his head low and handed my card back while saying have a nice day ! No ticket no hassle and I am smoking my dank now while laughing and looking back . Damn pig wanted to take my weed and couldnt even look at it . I said nope no show , you smell it and I am locking my door now hahahahha

Edit : I am legally able to step out of my vehicle as I notify an officer of my hearing disability , while requesting a spot to talk away from traffic noise lol , got a card for that one too and I used it ..

Sorry to hear that Crusty . Reflecting back on when we had no Medical law and being busted for smoking .. How degrading and humiliating when you know you are a good person who has nothing wrong morally and have hurt nobody .. Its all bullshit .. Rock the vote when its your way and it will be in time trust me ..

Ha thanks man the best part was being handcuffed to the troopers car for 20 minutes in the freezing wind all because he "didn't trust me." It's not like I had been driving recklessly, the reason he pulled me over was for the dealership tag that goes around the licences plate. Didn't even know it was illegal to have them on. Thankfully he decided to pat me down but not my girlfriend, all he got was my grinder, we maintained possession of our illegal product haha. Not looking forward to the ticket though...

what county? what area? so the rest of us can know.....? Ann arbor doesn't count-

i burned with my friend other day who finally retired after 20 yrs from "--PD"
....let's just say the area he worked has a big Capitol building close by...

any way he said all his friends still working around that big Capitol bldg are starting to say.."if they have a card--" and they don't want to be bothered....unless your a fukhead--

he told me all his friends still working their beats are just letting folks go if they have their card--

i wouldn't test that out in BFE tho----

and what's the nifty hearing impaired card that lets you step outside and lock the doors? I want one-

----that used to be standard procedure if you smoked erb in the 70s....to step out and lock the doors--

i can even remember throwing my keys under the car and saying I accidently locked them in--
saved me more than once

thats why they make you stay in your car now....to get around that-

"PLEASE SIR,... REMAIN IN YOUR VEHICLE!...WITH BOTH HANDS WHERE I CAN SEE THEM!--"

This took place in a small Northern Michigan village and it was a younger county sheriffs deputy , luckly it was not one of the old vindictive ones who hate the law .. I do believe the officer was relieved as well when he was presented with a medical card .. He looked as relieved as me lmao ..

The hearing impaired card I received for being deaf in one ear with only partial hearing in the other .. But I do hear very well considering this all but no matter I play deaf and dumb when playing this card .. Got a tribal card as well to pull out and play when need be . If within treaty Boundary I am able to request Tribal Police for further processing and that really pisses off the local and state cops .. Didnt need to pull that one out as the other two cards worked in my favor ..

Oh yeah the locking the door behind me is a standard procedure that all should do when stepping out of a car for LEO, this is our legal right .. You ll know if they have probable grounds to search , as they wont even allow you to close the door behind yourself , been there a few times and luckly I ate my weed those times hahahah

Thanks Bro , Just wanted to let others know that this situation is slowly getting better , wasnt long ago that people were being pulled over while having the meds confiscated .. I think LEO for the most part is accepting and finally getting over there loss .. No matter though , I thought it would be wise to warn others here that it best be in a case in the trunk or out of your reach as this law in effect now .. I had mine in the back of my jeep in a case ..

Glad to hear that the officer let it go at that. That is what should happen but does not always happen unfortunately, so it is very refreshing to hear about. Most of the stories I hear are how the cop smells it, then sees the card and then says he must inspect to make sure you are in compliance. Which is NOT the way it is supposed to happen.
