My first ever grow in a small cabinet! I'm having a lot of fun growing my royal dwarf. I wanted to grow my own weed because I want to know what has happened with it and to save money. I bought an Ikea cabinet (got the idea from SuperGreenLabs), fixed my own Samsung LM301B lights and built my own stealthbox.
I put the seed in a glass of water on feb 17th. The seed popped the next day and I put it in a wet towel for 1 more day. I planted the seed with the taproot down. It popped 2 days later! I read a lot of growing guides and the usage of training techniques like lst, topping and fimming but decided to let my first plant grow naturally. I deeply regret not doing any LST from the start, because I misjudged how fast it could grow. The plant exploded in height somewhere between day 30-35 causing it to almost touch my lights. I had to bend it down and pray for it to not grow back up. Well it did, but it's nowhere near the lights as it was then.
But since day 40 orso I am having some problems with the yellowing of my leaves. It started at the bottom which caused me to think it was a Nitrogen deficiency and after giving it a slightly higher nutrient solution it stopped for a while.
But over the last week my plant has seriously yellowed up. It's only 54 days after all. I ph my water between 6.2 and 6.5 everytime and I add Plagron Terra Bloom as my nutrient solution. I've been adding calmag too to combat the yellowing of my leaves. It started at the bottom a few weeks back and last week rapidly went up.
I'm also reading and seeing posts where the yellowing is normal because the plant is fattening up the buds, but since my plant is only 53 days from seed, this should be too soon right?
