alright..basically what you want to do is tie the branches of the plant to the sides of the pot so that the plant is short and bushy instead of tall.. it sounds more difficult than it really is.. what this does is allow light to shine on the whole plant rather than just the top of the plant where the light gets most use.. what i use to tie them down is pipe cleaner because its soft, easy to bend, and its just a couple bucks for a big pack.. ive seen it done with plenty of things such as string, shoe laces , the twisty things that you tie around loafs of bread to keep them fresh.. this might be a shitty example but here it goes.. when you go to the beach people dont stand up the whole time if they want to get a nice tan..if they do that then the only part of their body that is getting good sunlight is the top of their head lol.. we lay down to get a sun tan because the sun hits our whole body rather then just the top of our domes..same thing with plants.. basically all you need to do is bend the plant over so that the WHOLE plant gets light and not just the top of the plant.. ill throw some pictures up for you so you can get a better understanding of what im talking about.. this tecnique is called LST which stands for Low Stress Training..many growers including myself use this technique especially for small indoor grows.. it allows the whole plant to get direct light instead of just the tip top of the plant.. there really is no right or wrong way to do this, but in time you will get better at it and it will become very easy for you to do ..im sorry if this is confusing, im terrible at explaining things...hope these pictures help..
