This all about culture not race. It is the western driving culture vs the Asian mind. It is the queue up in the rain and act nice of the Home England, vs <More crazy than French>
California is the only State that allows "lane splitting" on a motorbike. But, you better not say that on the driving test. INCORRECT. It only "allows" it by the 9th Amendment to the US Constitution. It is not specifically dis-allowed, either. The 9th says we have all rights even new ones that cannot be guessed.
In fact, the law says, only 1 vehicle can occupy one lane space. CORRECT answer.
So, why is the Asian culture unaware of this? They aren't. The Highway Patrol has finally taken it on to Educate the public. They just don't care. They think there is nothing I can do.
Well, that is not true. It is always a young man in a new small car that will try to sqeeze down the gap.
So, I stop and rather forcefully rock his car repeatedly with my heavy gloved hand.
That makes him consider his actions. Nothing else I've tried commands the attention like that. After 3 or 4 rocks I see those front wheels turn away and my space is yielded.
