Rumbled :-(

I feel like someone is repeatedly punching me in the gut. I think im experiencing every guerrilla growers worst nightmare. Unless there is an animal out there with a super long head and razor sharp teeth, i think its fairly obvious someone has found my plot and cut 2 of my girls down, the 2 nearest harvest.

I know these woods like the back of my hand from mountainbiking and i was about as sure as could be that no one would ever find the patch. I guess im not the first person who made that false assumption.
So i pulled 2 very runty Sour Diesel autos, but have 2 Nirvana Jock Horrors that are probably a few weeks from harvest.

And my beautiful Bubba Kush CBD, which i was hoping would treat chronic lifelong insomnia

The effort, expense and time i put into this has been considerable. Trying to weigh up my options but the only thing is surely to go back at first light tomorrow and salvage what i can.
Id really appreciate your thoughts/comments.
Its times like this you really want to believe there is someone in my city tonight that has clocked up some serious bad karma. Cunts. I hope their house burns down and everything in it.

I had two patches found this season. Still have a couple three more. You have to spread your gardens out so losing one doesn't mean losing everything.

Yeah i guess its one of the golden rules of guerrilla growing, dont put all your eggs in one basket. But the work involved in running multiple sites is enourmous surely?

I grow Darwin Dope. Once it's in place and alive, it's kind of on it's own. It was the well tended spots that got popped. Maybe I was seen going in or out. Or just the fact the bigger plants were easier to see from the air.

But yes, it's a lot of work.

yeah Larry some of mine are fairly easy for me to get to and I found myself visiting them perhaps a bit too often. Don't think I've been seen but who knows. The other day pulling out of this place I noticed a game warden in a pull of about a hundred yards from the farmers field in which I park (its a place where you can walk your dogs, exactly what I do when I go) Though I don't think he was there for my plants, it did give me a reality check (haven't been there yet, the longest stretch yet without seeing my plants. This day and age of camera's is a little unnerving.

Sorry to hear shiva, nothing worst than going to visit your plants and finding out that someone has beat you to the punch. Only suggestion I have is to make those cages around the base stalk a little more camouflage, so at least if someone stumbles past them they don't directly stand out. Might not of helped in this case but....

Pull em all down asap. They will be back as soon as they can for the rest.

At least you made a harvest. Maybe not as much as you would of liked but they could of taken them all in between ur visits.

Go deeper into the bush next time.

I always wear a turkey mask when in the woods. Cameras are getting smaller all the time. It's the transition between parking and walking that scares me. Once in the woods with the mask on, I feel safe.

Cheers guys. The patch is a short hike up from a trail that I use for hiking and mtb'ing, i must have been up there a more than a hundred times and ive seen people on the track 10 times max. Anyway no point speculating, someones found it. i gotta accept it. The remainders are my preferred sativas, pulling them early will only heighten the raciness...should be an interesting buzz.

10 times us too many, find a spot that nobody goes, it's best to hunt spots the previous season or throw testers, 1or 2 plants out and increase each successful season. Multiple plots is a must imo to ensure some harvest. one of my new ones was found so I won't be back ever. It's a good idea to prep your spots in fall for the next year and you can also check how well the cover is when the foliage dies and the plants are big. Gl, I hope you manage some harvest!

Cheers Dank, some sound advice there. I dont drive so im very restricted in what areas i have access to. And with all the work (hiking up with 8 x 1.5L bottles of water in back pack etc...) at this moment in time im not sure im prepared to risk all that effort again.
I'll go and chop the last two today, cant say im looking forward to it. Man this sucks

you have months to find a new spot and organise a water trap (ive used a 240L wheely bin before.) but tarps work just as well and easier to transport.

I bought a small paddling pool as a water trap which i was planning to use at my site next year but those plans are toast now. And got me thinking of another advantage of autos - very short grow cycle of 7 - 9 weeks surely minimises the likelihood of getting nabbed...

Use tarps to collect rainwater, literally saved my ass this season...

Just stopping by to pass on my condolences. That really sucks man hopefully the rest will be there when you get back.

You might want to consider adding Iranian Autoflower to your lineup. They finish very early and can be topped into low bushes which are harder for prying eyes to see them. Sorry to hear about your loss.

I 2nd and 3rd the raincatcher idea. I use two tarps to build mine. The bigger one on the ground to hold the water, and the smaller one stretched above {and off to the side} to catch the rain. Use trees to hold up the corners. Don't buy the cheapest tarps. Water is very heavy and will rip out the grommets on the cheap tarps.

Feeling much better today about stuff. Went up and thank fu(k was able to chop the two remaining Jock Horrors. Up close the buds were chunkier than expected, and one was prob 10 days from when id have chopped her anyway. So a pretty good morning really.
The larger of the big colas is just under 100g wet, I reckon together, probably about a pound I dunno, maybe 3 or 4 ozs?

Obviously still not best pleased about yesterday but im pleased with what ive salvaged. Plus maybe 0.75 oz of Sour Diesel and an oz of JH which i harvested a while ago, i think im probably sorted for 4 months maybe more and im pretty glad about that!
Thanks a lot for the advice, ive learned a lot about guerrilla growing. Multiple sites a must. Good advice above about planting a few testers in various places. Thats my plan for next spring, chuck out some autos and just leave em, check them once after a month and then at the end. Plant in ground so they get less thirsty. If they avoid detection by human or animal, then ill just build it up from there.

What i was thinking is that if you are off a common trail, plant some fem hemp plants part way to your spot. It will distract them, and once they rip it away all they will get is a cough (or a beating if they sell it). They will think twice next time.

I did consider that, planting some decoy plants but i think its risky - yes, someone might find them and get all excited...but some more attentive people might think "theres probably more around here" and really scout the area...
