I heard from a friend of mine who has grown a few times himself and has been a good source of info on growing (along with this site) said that they are starting to make miracle gro that kills marijuana plants. He implied that its some new way of targeting growers. I'm not sure where he got his information from or if its just a dumb rumor. I was wondering if anyone had any actual evidence to prove this to be true because I've been reading grow journals on this site and people are using miracle-gro and its been working for them. Since I'm still in the planning stages of everything I'm considering my options for soils.

I whould use foxfarm soil if you do want to use miracle grow get the organic choice.

yeah, I do not think it is something that they do on purpose, however, the ph of their soil is wrong for pot, and if your getting the soil with time released ferts, that is not good either. Neither will actually kill yr plants, but it is two strikes against you. The ph is easily remedied.

Fox Farms makes great potting soil. It is some of the best.
Anyway, Fox Farms is not available everywhere so look for potting soil with dolomite lime (keeps pH in check) and mycorrhizae. If the potting soil contains these two key ingredients, you have killer potting soil no matter the brand.
Put it this way, stop the madness and keep it simple to grow the best.

I called and I found a retailer for fox farm in houston I went to the website and that soil sounds badass for growing. Only 21 bucks for a bag, now do yall use their organic fertilizer too? And since there soil is so rich with nutrients does that mean I could wait longer until having to use fertilizers?

Unfortunately, FoX Farms Big Bloom and Grow are not organic.
The soil has everything needed and ferts are only needed really in bloom.
Fish emulsion (comes in gallon jugs) is some of the best shit on the face of the earth as a nutrient/supplement and is organic (ground up fish parts). It is concentrated and you dilute it down. One version is for veg and another for bloom. It stinks but kicks asss.
In the old days, the Indians would put dead fish around the corn crops as a cheap fertilizer to increase yields.....the fuggers were on it back then as well.

but is someone has to grow in dirt, that you can find in your yard or local park, mix it with horse manure and you are almost set
