Run out of hieght in grow room- PLEASE HELP?

G'day everyone:mrgreen:,
I'm new to this site and it's my first time growing in a grow room (virgin).
I have come across my first problem regarding hieght restrictions. Just changed to 12/12 and only got about 300mm (1 foot) to go till the tips touch my 400w HPS light.
I cant really tie them down as thay are very bushy little suckers so i was thinking about flywire maybe? or mesh.
If anyone has had this same problem of could give me some good advice it will be very much appreciated?

I had a similar problem. I use chicken wire. I top my plants in veg, start low stress training, move them to flower under a screen. This last grow I am trying super cropping. That's where you pinch the stem and fold it. Check out my cabinet grow journal for ideas I am on my fourth grow now.​

Just done it and my babies are CRANKIN!!!
WOOOHOO I can taste the sweet smoke now.
Just goes to show that a bit of TLC goes a long way eh.

and on to the reason i wanted to check this thread.
i JUST dealt with this same problem. i just let the plant grow aginst the roof an slowly bend it. dident really work out. one of the plants head stem is all twisted an nothin but seeds. and in veg it was my favorite plant.PRETTY SHITTY! LST i shound have bent the top down with a string ond let it grow.
well i hope things work out for ya

Thanks Happyface, that bloke homegrown sounds like a bit of a WANKER.

Anyway I ended up screwing in 4 small hooks (1 in each corner) and attached some 2"x2" plastic lattice type stuff into my box.

Had to bend plants down almost a foot and threaded the tops through lattice.

It acts just like the screen of green and now if the tips start getting to high I can tie them back down to the lattice.

By the way I only kinked one of the many branches that I had to bend but it is holding up ok so far.
