Running 400w MH@ 75% during Veg? Anything wrong with that?

BTW, the tent got up to 85 one time when the timer on my booster fan went all whacky on me. My day temps are usually between 74 to 78 night time 68-72.

Yeh. I just switched my light schedule over to 6PM on, 10AM off, so i get the cooler temps and night and a little less on my electric bill. 16/8. Seem to be right around 80 @ night w/ this 400w, and it is cool here still.
