More light that can be dimmed or raised is better than less light, unless you cross over into overkill. I am borderline that with a huge LED light in my 3x3. I love it to be honest but heat is an issue. I am dealing with it and will try to improve my tent next harvest. My light supposed to replace a 1000w hid so I would guess 600 is a bit in the weaker side for a 4x4. I am sure it is enough but if you want to max things out I would pick 1000. I like mine because the light fills up the whole top of the tent so my light distribution is quite even.
