Running a 30 amp line to an apartment.

What is the best way to get a direct line to a 2 bed apartment. There are currenty 3x 15amp breakers. These outlets are being used already though.

A friend asked me this question. Should he get an electrician, also is this the type of thing he needs to get permission from his land lord.

Damn right he needs permission from his land lord, I can't believe you even asked that. I would recommend getting an electrician to do the wiring. You don't want your friend to do it half-assed and end up burning the place down, do you?

Sorry for asking the silly question. I though maybe it was just something you hook up to the box and remove it any time if need.

Do you guys know how much something like this would cost on average, again this might be a silly question but just a rough estimate would be nice.

I guess he would need to figure out what his reasoning is for getting a 30amp line.
