Alright guys so trying to do 13 ladies in a 4X4 tent has turned out to probably be a bad idea. I'm at the beginning of my 4th week from seed...and these girls are growing much better then i expected. Now 4 of the 13 are very small compared to the others. Should i remove them and then just let the 9 left go? Should I remove more and just top the ones that i keep? Also as far as the very low new growth...should i leave it or should i remove it? It's so low that it's barely able to clear the sides of the pots. Also i can tell these girs are gonna be bushy...since almost pure indica.
running out of room...what should i do?

I'm trying to think if i have someone to give them to. I don't wan to see them go to waste. They had some struggles in the first week or two which is why they are much smaller...but now that I got the issues taken care of they seem to be doing well again...just a week or two behind...haha.

Top and chop. Top 'em so they spread and cut off the lower 2 or 3 branches on both sides as they won't get enough light to be productive.

As soon as there's room take the newest 2 fan leaves off at the very top by chopping the main stem. Then take the lowest fan leaves and branches off close to the main stem.
Alright so this newest growth thats coming out...as soon as there is enough room to get my garderning scissors around..i should cut right above the node below the newest set? Now wont this cause me to have like 6 or 8 tops since there is so much growth below?

Wow @ the 13 in a 4x4 I have a hard time with 18/19 in a 8x4 I mean its wall to wall..

the 2 newest side branches will become the 2 tops an the lower branches that are left will start to come out and grow towards the light. So you could conceivably have 4 to ..... tops depending on which node you topped it at and how many lower branches you chopped off. Instead of the tall spear like plant you'll have a squatter bushier plant with multiple colas. You can then LST or super crop them by bending and pinching the individual branches.
See I'm worried that in my first grow I'll only end up with like an oz a plant and for what i spend on equipment and what ill spend on elec i want atleast a lb from this grow. If i knew i would get ATLEAST 2 oz a plant with the master kush and pineapple express then i would drop 5 and only do 8 and just top them and make them all pretty.

ave you read up on LST and supercropping at all yet? If not maybe you should take a quick peak.
Yeah I have. To be honest the original plan was to do CCOB but I didn't want to get that involved with my first grow. Trying to keep it simple yet effective. And then with the CCOB i could have done 8 plants and gotten 1-2g per watt. Right now im just trying to dial in my setup. 1000W MH/HPS combo in a DR120 with 400 CFM 6" fan and phat filter. FFOF soil and zero nutes so far. Will start nutes in the next week or week and a half at about 1/4 strength.

I feel your pain. I have a 5x8 flower room with 19 plants right now. Which is too many for that space especially since I let 'em veg for like 4-6 weeks each. Also I went crazy on the clones and took 40 of 'em which I now have under fluoro's in another room, but I hate to kill any so I am really stuck with what to do next. Plus the smell off the clones is starting to take over. Already oredered another carbon filter uggghhhh don't get me started.
Alright so I'm thinking of dropping down the numbers from 13 to 8. Figure 8 in a 4X4 area would be sufficient once I top them. Wondering if I should set something under them like a grid so i can tie stuff off as it grows to make sure it doesnt get to crazy in there. Also once yalls rooms get overgrown to the point that you cant remove them to water them...how do you do so without getting water all over the floor and how do you get to the hard to reach places? After this grow I might move to some sort of hydro system so i dont have to worry about this anymore.

I've been thinking about drip emitters and hose with a large funnel on the end nearest me to get water in. Sort of a hand held hydro system. LOL.

I would keep the 12 man. How long do you plan on vegging? What I would do if I were you is like someone said earlier in the thread, top them, then chop them. That will change the growth significantly, it will also even out your canopy. Now if you plan on vegging for a long time then you'll want to get rid of a few of them like your thinking. My avatar is an LSD that I vegged for 90 days. Topped her and chopped her now she's all canopy. I should have actually chopped another branch or two off, but I left them on. Do yourself a favor and keep all 12. Keep them all and do your best until the last moment possible.
