Running out of room

Specs: 4x4x7 grow tent.
600w MH/HPS cooltube
carbon filter
GH Flora Nova Grow/Bloom,and Liquid Koolbloom nutes and some cal/mag
RO water

they were originally vegged under a 400w MH winged unit..just recently upgraded to the cooltube bout a month ago.

when i got the cooltube all hooked up and on my new digital timer..i had one setting that turned the timer on at 1am..(instead of on at 6am and off at 6pm)..wtf!..that lasted for like 4 days till i came into the room and saw the light was on at 2am.

then i started having problems with the HPS not firing..the ballast was on,but after a few unplugs i would get it to fire..so i called the company and they asked if the MH would fire properly.

so i replaced the HPS with the MH and the next morning the MH fired instantly at 6am..so they shipped me a new HPS bulb.

once all that was sorted the soil was vegged for 6 1/2 weeks and the RDWC was vegged for 5 1/2 weeks..(i transplanted 1 seedling from soil to my DIY hydro unit).Wednesday will be the end of week 3 of flower.

now onto the pics.



as you can see i'm almost out of room i have like 3 to 4 inches left on the light ratchet.






NitroHarley suggested bending the stems over,but everyone of my hydro grows the stems have been hollow,and if i snap the top cola off that would suck..cuz that is the main cola.

i only topped 1 soil plant and it is the one on the left,and i only topped it once.

any suggestions?..ideas?

also i have a question about the strain of this grow.

several grows back i had a Amnesia Haze and a G13 Haze..both wer femmed seeds..well my Amnesia Haze had a few pollen sacks that i never caught,and soo my G13 had gotton seeds.

so that is what is in my tent atm.

are they Amnesia Haze or G13..a mix of both?..i have no idea..all i know everytime i grow these seeds the shit knocks me on my ass!

I have hollow stems and some times they will snap off, I know what you mean.......It helped me to squeeze the stem right where I want to bend it.....It helped me bend the limb without snapping it off......but there is a limit..........nitro..

U got two options. At this point the plant wont strech much longer. So u can drop the light to reduce the streching and without burng ur plants. Or raise the light all the way to the top and ride it out.

Btw what with carbon filter on the floor?

Not that I would know..... but you can lose the ratchets, shorten the wire hanger that came with your light, using a 2" S hook, slip one end in the now shortened wire hanger, and the other end over the top of your light rail/support.
Now you will have the room to start gently tying them down, or use a net to keep the flowers down if you need to.

Hey dtischerd...

I will show you how I hook up my ratchet......I mount the ratchet across the room and over the frame pipe....It aloud me to use my ratchet and get the most height I could.....

I did a cupple grows with the lights hung over the pipe with the hanger.....It was all the way up as far as you could go, but I couldn't go up or down so I rigged it up like these pic's..............nitro..

thanx nitro..i'll have to give that a try.

to insan3...the reason the filter is on the floor is because their is no way to attach the fan to the filter ..aside from drilling holes and running bolts through..besides i have seen grows where they had the filter on the floor..including nitro harley's current grow.

i have been meaning to rig somthing up to get it off the floor..just havent gotton around to it.

The reason i point out becuase, is going to be sucking out the cool air in the tent instead of the hot air in the tent. i am guessing u have the intake in the bottom. Most of the air moment will stay at the bottom. Yes it works both ways. But more effecient on top.

Is there a way you can take the filter out of the room? Might solve much need space problems. Place it on the floor outside of the tent and run the ducting through tent and out the tent?

yes i have thought of that,but i need somthing to control the odor,and that carbon filter works great!.

i decided to raise my light to its highest lvl and ride it out.

i knew when i originally posted this my stretch was just about over..i was just worried that the main cola would grow past the light,and i think i'm safe..lol.

i was really surprised how much they exploded when i changed from a 400w winged unit to this 600w cool tube.

This is what I did when I faced the same problem -- gave me an additional 4 inches.
