running out of room

the title says it all lol but I have a serious question about lighting. I've had my girls inside their whole lives. I put the shorter bushier one outside a couple of days ago after pruning her and she's doing great but since she was in pre-flower, was this a bad move? Now the other one is about to outgrow my four foot frame on blocks (I've kept it in a one gallon pot) I am scared to put her outside because she is flowering nicely and I'm scared it will shock her or worse, ruin the flowering process. I'm hoping to harvest them before July. Any advice is welcomed!!! here are some before and after pics...The one at the end is the runt that had no head and now has two:mrgreen:

As long as you don't put her outside longer than 12 hours a day, she will be fine. In fact, put her out 11 hours a day... then bring her inside. Just so you are always under the 12. You can expose her to more than 12 of very light light - but not the sun!! She will ONLY benefit from seeing the sun. =)~

You can prepare her/them for outside by putting them outside for increasing amounts of time. I believe it's called "hardening off" or something like that. If you're really concerned, start with a sunny window.

As Shik said, bringing them in after 11 hours of sun should keep them flowering just fine. A word of caution, though, bringing plants I'm from outside can also bring in bugs. So be careful that you don't contaminate your other plants or grow space.

Glad you ended up with at least a couple girls! Good luck!

aw man....my morning starts at around 1 pm in the afternoon...I have to stay up really late most nights to get my hubby up for work at 2 am. Will they still flower if they are in the sun longer? I may just have to rethink my indoor setup.....:cuss::neutral:

oh and sunny windows don't live here, I live in the woods :(

I'd be concerned with more than about 12 hours of light, as they may not flower as well/at all.

Reworking the indoor set up makes sense, imo.

I'm so confused man

I thought by keeping it in a small pot it wouldn't get so big, but I'll be damned if that sucker ain't growing like a freakin magic bean stalk

I need some crates or something:confused:

How exactly would I top her, she's been topped once already and has two main colas and a third coming in (flowering)? FIM'd

I surely wouldn't top in flower. That just doesn't make sense to me, as she's not growing any bigger, so to speak, just beefing up. You'd be liable to top off your bud, and no one wants that, particularly a flowering plant. LSTing may not be bad, but be careful at this stage, as she's likely gotten woodier, thus more likely to snap.

Rosey: could you just add more blocks to your set up to make it taller, then add some side lighting if necessary? Perhaps a pic of your grow area would help yield better suggestions.
