my ph has been a steady 7 and soon will be lowered to 6.8 or so

P U... i just went into the kitchen to get some food. came back to my bedroom and noticed the smell difference, this is starting to stink, i knew it would and ive been trying to find a cheap non DIY carbon scrubber with fan already attached but too expensive... i am bad at building things like that. However for the time being i put the ionic breeze i already had into the closet. it should clean the air several times per hour.

A box of baking powder (smell absorber kind) will help for a while.

the ionic breeze has worked wonders, i need to tape the little blue led on/off indicator tho becuase it lets off light.. cant be too careful. my nutes come tommarow and my hps will show up soon, very excited to get it up and spitting a beautiful 53,000 lumens.

So my ferts finally came and when they did my plants were bone dry and needed some drink. by their growth halfway into the next day it looks like they appreciated it. they got grow big and tiger bloom (fox farms) for their first time at 1/4 str. they are 5 days into 12/12. The foolish bastards gave me 2 bottles of tiger bloom instead of my big bloom (RRRRROAR) but that's ok. I tied feeding my babes with a lower ph to get my ph under 7 but it doesnt seem to want to go lower. i fed with between 6.3-6.6 and it still a flat 7. doesnt worry me i just wanted to have room to move around (dont wanna get higher than 7). and i hear 6.5ish is better anyway. still waiting for the sex of my babies. hope to know vry soon!

1 Week 12/12, i did some bottom leaf pruning. no sex signs yet, i hoped they would show earlier, oh well, i still got time, but im hoping to get rid of the males quickly because my ladies are getting crowded. they are fighting for light. thankfully not for nutes! they are well covered here and seemed to like it alot when i finally gave them nutes. i have them 1/4 str grow big and tiger bloom. the osmocote is still present in the soil so i probobly wioll not go above 1/4 if not maybe cut down because of this.. this ocmocote has made me struggle through this grow and has slowed my plants growth speed. 'slow release' is the bad part... the plants were not getting enough of what they wanted at that prime growth time, it did help when i added mc grow before i read much abotu nutes, but i used it full str and they has a 'little' burn, not too too bad but after they recovered from that they thrived on it. as i said before in the first post, DO NOT USE SLOW RELEASE FERTS OR SOIL WITH THEM IN IT!. Learn your lesson through me do not do it. Cannot wait until harvest so i can start my next grow, which with all ive learend and what ive acquired should be flawless. i even will have the next crop protected from cats. Today i pruned some old leaves and fed them to the cats hoping it would cure their crave and if i left an opening for them to get in my grow room, they would hesitate more. anyway, wish for me females!

im in the dark cycle right now but my 400w hps is here - all i have to do is hang it. unfortunaly i don't have what i need to do so at the moment (i thought it came with) but it only came with the peices you attach whatever it's hanging from to. im sure ill figure out something, i always do. the HPS will go in tommarow and the cfl's will be all for sidelight! HERE COME THE BIG BUDS WOOO!

Apparently something or maybe i screwed up and turned on my timer.. my light cycle is messed up. so i installed the hps and will be starting over at 12/12. DOH but also WOOT the hps is looking great, just need to monitor the heat.

My temps have nowhere to go but up, they went to 90 and then i got them to a steady 80. looks like my plants a getting mild heat stress. hmm. wasnt at 90 long and 80 should be fine? maybe a small amt of nute burn, watered with ph 6.0 water. my soil ph still reads 7. dunno why it wont go down, maybe next time i should water with 5.0? anyway, im sure the problems are stemming from the osmocote in my soil (FUCK) im sick of this soil. cant wait to finish this grow - it has been a struggle. and now they are struggling again. my HPS is at 12-18 inches from each top.. maybe i should raise it? my closet is a mess too, from al the shit, i cant wait to finish this crop and clean it out (im a neat freak!) and mylar the whole shabang. i think im going to keep off the nutes thx to the fucking osmocote. any tips at this point? im basically playing survivor here. and i think i will loose the game if i transplant into a new soil especially with the fact i have 4 plants in a trough.

a few problems going on with my ladies right now.

I set up a veg room in a card board box, with a blanked over it on a desk, cfls wired through the top, secured, discreet, fan inside, small exhaust, natural intake, for 4 clones. my little mini veg room. i need a better fan, the one i use is ghetto and too loud! when my lights come on from my mothers i will clone each of them and label them.

Thats definatly the way to go. You should take 2-3 clones of each so you dont end up with 1 female, lose one, or something stupid like that. You want to have one or two more than you plan on keeping, even if you lose a few, at this point.

yeah but i didnt have the room really, even if i get 1 female clone it's okay. i will veg her and then clone her. i should not loose any as i did this method perfectly and am keeping them moist.. if i do it's okay, im really screwed if i loose all the fem clones tho.

based on things to small to take pictures of i think i have so far 1 fem 1 male and 2 unknowns. there flowers are very incredibly small and i could be wrong but thats my guess so far, when they develop more ill know. if i can find a way to make my digi cam zoom to like 30x makybe i can show ya.. lol

thanks man, thx for following my journal too here is a pic of my ghetto veg/clone room. two pc fans for intake/exhaust (the box got hot.. i had to), just happened to have a little bit of that duct tubing stuff. anyway this is a cardboard box.. sittin in my room next to a pc (the fans connect into the pc). so the fan noise + any light that is getting out is stealthy hidden by the pc. there is also a blanket on this box... very innocent. as i have to be, cant have people that come over seeing this stuff.



this is a very good ghetto veg room. the airflow in it is better than my closet! (flower room) but im going to fix that. woohoo i finally have a veg room. hope it lasts. it will enable me to harvest 3 times more than before.
