RUSSET MITES

That is most definitely russet mites 100%, I've dealt with them before.
Wettable Sulfur will take care of them easily in veg. 100% coverage of foliar spray is crucial...atomizer or paint sprayer are best for big plants. The mites inject something into the plant that stunts flowers, watering with aspirin or aloe (salicylic acid) will help get the plant out of it.

Yeah get a microscope and make sure you see them first. Almost doesn't look like mites to me. Do you see any stippling on any of the leaves? Forbid4f will wipe them out, but is a harsh chemical that shouldn't be used in bloom. Good luck!

You can just barely see russets with the naked eye. They look like brown fibers on the underside of leaves where the petiole meets the leaf or in the crown of the flower. Work their way up from the bottom and dont like light which is why they hide on the bottoms of leaves, in flowers, anywhere light or water wont reach them.

The adults are easy to kill, but the eggs keep on hatching, so repeated and rotating treatments every day or every other day are important to break this cycle.

I heard walmart has the best deal on atomizers. I think they have them for around $150...very effective for ensuring full coverage of your sprays.

What if i were to use 10% permethrin.

Ive read folks using pyrethrins on there plants, along with floramite & avid. All of which are very heavy chemicals.
If i can use those, is it safe to say i can use a 10% permethrin?
I have a shit ton of that stuff.

Yall think its safe to say this is what im dealing with? Brown, taco leafed lower buds?
If so.......
Organicide?
Azamax?
Avid
Or floamite?

Ive got a few that are up to 4 weeks of flower.... Some are just starting to turn.

Thoughts?
Get some 70 percent rubbing alcohol or higher and mix with water. Spray the whole plant. Will kill them on contact but must repeat. Also give your plants some aspirin to help recover from the toxins

Just wouldn't want to do this if very far in flower. Might wipe some of the trichs off

Well it won't kill your plant but I wouldn't recommend it.

Just picked up some bonide sulfur & bonide captain jacks deadbug. Both are labled for organic so i figure it would be more mild than avid or permethrin considering im so far into flower. So i lollipopped the shit out of my plants & got rid of the majority of the damaged stuff. Hollowed out plants to a canopy. Sprayed entirely with sulfur. In 3 days ill spray the captain jacks. In 3 days spray sulphur again. & in another 3 days hit em with captain jacks again.

Im not expecting complete eradication, but hopefully this will kill enough of them to prevent further damage & fuck em up enough to keep the from breeding........we'll see what happens, hell maybe ill spray em with some azamax somewhere in between those treatments.

Youre 4 weeks into flower, I would not use anything with sulfur in it. It will do more harm to you then the mites. In veg it would have work but not 4 weeks into flowering. If you can completely seal your room. You could kill the mites and everything in it with pushing c02 in it. It will not harm the plants. Turn everything off and raise co2 level in your room.

I would definitely not use sulfur on flowers, but it is very effective and cheap in veg...try an enzyme like big time exterminator or dr zymes etc. These products have enzymes like protease that react with the proteins in an insects exoskeleton and dissolve it.

I'd try the dichlorvos. For $6 and a trash bag, why not?
Lol a trashbag? These are outddor plants....not sure if they make a big enough bag lol.....and too many to go that route.....
Im thinkin ill rotate withe these 2x each....then add ladybugs to maintain the problem & prevent outbreak...

The mites remove cell contents from leaves, stems, and flowers.. Infestations usually start in the lower leaves, which dry out and fall to the ground. Where are you getting the info they "stunt flowers"? I suppose eventually they stunt the entire plant and kill it.

Russet mites are unlike any other mite. They get into the plants tissue this is why most of the things being used to battle them do not work.
I've fought off russet mites, but In veg. Forbid4f wiped them out for me. There are organic sprays that are suppose to take care of russet mites, but I've only used those sprays for regular mites.. Regardless, best of luck to the OP
