Actually an outside light can cause problems if it breaks the plants light cycle too directly.

In the Jorge Grow book there is a pic of a huge plant next to a street lamp. Half is flowering he other half is revegging on the lit side.
Lol I can imagine that, not the case here. The lamp would effect the plant in a month if I didn't block the light at some point. Im fairly certain its just a male and not stress induced, time will tell.

Could the fact that I tried to grow this one sideways stress it out enough to grow the sacks? I didn't break the stems just bend and tie. I'm just thinking what I shouldn't do next round.

Like you said it's bagseed. Looks like a typical male to me. Hermies usually start showing balls and banana's after pistils. But I'm not going to qualify that as scientific fact. Just my experience which would be a small sample in any legitimate study on the subject. So my personal experience is not reliable on a larger scale.

I'd still grow it out and collect the pollen. The worst that could happen is the other plant is female. You pollinate it and end up with hundreds of seeds that might be good weed.

Right on I appreciate the words, what is the optimal storage environment for pollen? I'll be doing some research about it tonight.

A lifetime isn't long enough to grow out everything once you get started. Sure is fun though. But it's addictive. If I have a female and some male pollen at least one branch is getting hit and labeled. None of my friends pay a dime for seeds.
I have never had any luck with partial pollenate. I either pollen or don't. From what I have seen once the plant receives pollen, it changes and seems to lose bud production and focus on seed development. I bet hormonal changes occur.

I have even seen - or hallucinated - if I did not clean the pollen room well and the next grow gets a few seeds from stray pollen, the plant slows, although for shorter time, to grow seeds.

I can keep pollen in dark, cool , dry place like basement with dehumidifier. I have seen pollen get weaker and weaker till it is not worth it after 6 months. Some will say it works well after longer, just my experience. Also collecting pollen on a male that has beem in flower 14-21 days seems best. Some of the first few pollen sacks can be sterile.

I typically pollinate the entire plant but I use small plants. I don't veg for 8 weeks or anything when I'm crossing things. Sometimes I just grow out a plant for quantity and those I sometimes dust a branch or two if I have some pollen available. Bud development might suffer but I'll take the trade off to get a cross I don't have. I also don't use just the pollen from the first balls to burst. I agree that some of the first pollen isn't always viable.

Cool, dry, dark is the optimal storage. Some people freeze it. Desiccants are good to use as well. Moisture is no good for stored pollen.

I keep about 50 seeds of all my crosses in a capped test tube away from my other main collection. In a fireproof safe with other important stuff. On my todo is to document it all better. I laugh when I think of the day I am gone and my kids crack that safe and find out how many seeds Dad thought were important.

i should toss in a few thousand dollar bills so they won't be disappointed.

As you can see its outside healthy plant, my pH was high at 7+. But I'll keep at it see if anything changes. These where the first signs of male so far. Light stress could be caused by the freaking lamp from the street but its unlikely. Its a healthy plant imo.

Just to mention this was bag seed
Never let em get to that size ,should have cloned for sex weeks ago ,if it's male and your not breeding waste and effort. To be honest at that size and age they normal give you a sign what sex they are ,the females start wearing lip stick and high heels lol.If you are uk based I have a few for ya if ya struggling .

Save the pollen and hope the other plant is female. If it is then pollinate a couple branches with that saved pollen and make your own seeds. If I was on a tight budget and couldn't afford the ridiculous prices they charge I would make my own seeds. I do it anyway because the strains out there are getting ridiculous and I'm not paying for some pollen chuckers cross of a cross of a cross of a cross called Super Duper Silver Pineapple Kush Haze Black and Purple Sour Diesel Banana Split Extravaganza. I can chuck my own pollen and make hundreds of seeds for basically nothing instead of some overpriced pack of five feminized seeds that will be shooting banana's at week five of flower.
maaaaan i come on here and people are constantly getting males, out of all the plants ive sprouted that were bagseeds not one MALE. ive been praying for one to make seeds hahah hopefully this gelato i have shows some balls

I know what you mean. Out of 4 grows of 8 plants each...one male. And all from bag seed. I wish I had such luck with the lottery.
