well we got 30 and this is the only one that is showing anything like this, just wondering what deficiency it could be or if its just shock because it gets the same treatment as the other 29 and all of them are great.

Both the leaves and the leaf veins on the lower leaves do look light in color but that is likely due at least in part to the HPS lighting.

But regardless of the coloring being an accurate or inaccurate representation of the plants lower leaves do seem to have some necrotic spotting between the veins.

Considering the possibility of HPS lighting altering what the true colors of the leaves, veins and necrotic spotting actually are it is difficult to guess what might possibly be going on with that plant but based on what I could see my first opinion would be a potassium deficiency.

K - POTASSIUM (K)

Affected plants are usually tallest and appear to be most vigorous. Necrotic spots form on lower leaves. Red stems. Leaves appear pale or yellow. Add chemical fertilizer containing K.

But then it could also be a nitrogen deficiency if the lightening/ paling of the leaves progress up the plants from the lower leaves. Due to the necrotic spotting I think that to be the lesser possibility but it still could be a possibility.

N - NITROGEN (N)

Pale plants, red stems, smaller growth. Rapid yellowing of lower leaves progressing up the plant. Add any chemical fertilizer containing N. Treated plants recover in about a week.

thanks for the response, i'll take some pictures tonite under white light to post.

here's the thing that confuses me...they are all using the same potting soil (ocean farm) and get treated exactly the same, i don't get how one could be deficient if all the others aren't as well.

not saying you're not correct, just saying i don't understand :)

also the ladies had thrips when i got them, but my warrior nematodes and the chrysanthemum spray seems to be making short work of them.
